This is one of my favorite CD's. Popcorn Behavior started as a contra-dance band, but on this CD they go a lot farther. Quite a range of tunes, and a few songs too. It's firmly grounded in Irish music but has things like a Balkan set and a Piazolla tango thrown in. They're all great musicians, and one of the coolest things is that when they recorded this album all but one of the 4 guys were between 16 and 18 years old. It really is a great CD!

This group rocks! So many musical influences blending to make the traditional sound new and ancient all at once. The best thing is the jazz influence over contradance tunes. Piano playing is beyond exquisite! From compositions of Dollar Brand to traditional Irish tunes you will be endlessly pleased!
