I started listening to "The Strangest Secret" when I was just a teenager back in the early 1970's.

I was lucky to have had many inspirations in my young life, and, this recording was one of them.

In the early 1970's you could still catch some of Earl Nightengale's programs on some radio stations. He has been an inspiration to more than a few generations of Americans.

Earl Nightengale wrote this recording from many sources. He took wisdom that has been handed down to us from the ancient Greeks, and, re-worked it into modern American English with examples that illuminate its relevance to the everyday lives of everyone.

In addition to drawing his inspiration for this recording from Aristotle and Plato, Mr. Nightengale also included many concepts from an obscure American philosopher by the name of "James Allen."

The work "As a Man Thinketh", by James Allen, is closely related to this recording, and, Mr. Nightengale appropriately bestowed on us yet another inspiration in his recording about the book. As a Man Thinketh.

What is the Strangest Secret? I don't want to spoil it for you. It has to do with the realization that life is not about finding yourself - life is about creating yourself.

This recording, which I have listened to thousands of times, provides an outline for taking control over the most powerful instrument in our lives - our own consciousness. Mr. Nightengale compares our consciousness to a powerful earth-moving machine with a little man sitting on top of it. We can either use it to build and create, or, through neglect, "let it run itself into a ditch."

This is a great CD, WOW what a powerful message...a wake up call. It contains years and years of wisdom, the best investment you can make...Just get it!

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't been said before, but this is a truly excellent motivational tool. With no disrespect to Tony Roberts who is a great motivator, this 8 minute speech impacted me more strongly than anything Tony, or other modern motivators, has done.

Part of the strength of this CD is the actual message which is superb and true and which can be found in written form on the internet, but the other half is the power of Earl Nightingale's magnificent voice. If you have never heard him speak, you should buy this for that reason alone.

Of everything I have ever bought on Amazon, this purchase was the best value, and it's not a close call.

I was expecting an actual CD with this guy doing his famous talk, in fact its just a book with a one-minute dvd of nothing.

This was recommended to me by the team leader in the company I work for and I have found it to be extremely motivating and inspirational. It is short, to-the-point, and a good "shot in the arm" when you need to be motivated.

I like listening to this while driving to work. Makes the day so much better than without it. It really keeps me focused on my goals.

I have a few audio books from Nightingale-Conant and this is by far the best.

Earl Nightingale delivers the powerful message that we become what we think about. Self-empowering, this message reminds us that we are responsible for our own lives. Nightingale's voice is mesmerizing. Buy this. You won't be sorry!

This (audio) book was recommended by Dan Kennedy who is a classic himself and a true master in Professional Development and Sales. This book was simple yet profound. Not new infromation, but intersting to note how long the same "basic" wisdom has been around. Follow this man's advice and change your life!

Undoubtably, one of the best motavational speeches ever given. If only our teachers could pass this along to the youth of today. Not only is it inspirational it goes beyond what lifes lession are all about. I highly reccomend that everyone who makes this purchase listen to it daily.

On first hearing 'The Strangest Secret in the World' as a scratched old LP record when I was in my late teens, I was impressed with the way Earl presented his wonderful ideas. As is common with such content, listening is one thing, but actually following the simple steps Earl lays out, well... I didn't apply the concepts and follow Earl's instructions until four or five years later, but when I did, it had a very impressive possitive impact on my success, catapulting me into a new career, management roles and ongoing increases in income.

I have continued to apply Earl's Secret since in my career, business and personal endeavours, and have enjoyed great success in my life as a direct result, despite some significant issues which I understand commonly trash other people's lives.

Consequently, if I was to recommend a single piece of audio for someone's success, Earl Nightingale's 'The Strangest Secret in the World' would be it.

Just don't leave it too long before you do what he suggests. Life's too short to be wasted in unsuccessful frustration!

I found the information presented on this CD to be extremely valuable. Several well used bits of wisdom outline the necessary changes you need to make to find true success. I would recommend this product without hesitation.
