Biography

Like many underground rappers in the Midwest, Tech N9ne specialized in bizarre hardcore rap and stood as one of the few recognized rappers based in Kansas City when he debuted in the late '90s. He made the major-label jump with Anghellic (2001), which JCOR Entertainment released with the backing of Interscope Records. The album didn't find a large audience, though, and Tech N9ne ... All of the songs are easily a 4/5, so there is no need to go through each of them one by one. Here are my top five tracks from the album in order of awesomeness.

1. Fear - this is hands down one of my top 5 Tech N9ne tracks ever, and I've been listening to his music since Anghellic. This track gives me the chills every time I listen to it.

2. We Are Free - Another track that tackles some real world issues. This is a great track, with great verses from Bernz and Wrek.

3. American Horror Story - Fantastic song. I love Ces Crus and this was the perfect collaboration.

4. Over It - The chorus on this track is most people's complaint. It grew on me after a few listens. What makes this track a superb standout is the lyrics and rhyming patterns.

5. The Calling - Again, Tech tackling some major issues. The chorus by Tyler Lyon is very well done. This is an exceptional track.

Some of the critics reviews have been a little harsh, but mainly just because there are only Strange artists on this album. I don't think the critics have any idea what these Collabos albums are about... so ignore what you read by major critics and expect Tech to hand them their hats on Fragile Pt. 2.

STRANGE!!

I had preordered this and I gotta say I was afraid of not liking the album overall but I'm glad that wasn't the case. If you have been a Tech fan for a while you will enjoy this album because of the unique and yet again different style he brings. This is one of the reasons that makes Tech the best because he is unpredictable and always comes up with something new and fresh for our ears to hear. I was blown away by the 'something else' album, as it really was something else and I didn't see how he could come up with another album as good as or better than that one but again I was amazed after I heard this one. I'm happy to add this to my collection because it really stands out and I will enjoy it for a long time to come during the hot days of summer.

Worth the price.
Another thing I really appreciate is that there are about 20 tracks on this album and none of them feel rushed and it makes me feel like I got my money's worth instead of being ripped off as with other albums having a higher price with less tracks.

This is basically a Strange compilation album with Tech on every song. (The Cypher is divided into 4 different parts but when put together is one track). This album showcases the talent that Strange has and introduces everybody to the lyrical beast named MURS, now I cannot wait for Mursday! I recommend this to any fan of Tech or Strange. Tech is at the top of his game and I dont think there is anyone in hiphop releasing quality material at the consistently fast rate of the N9ne. Definitely cop this album, easily one of the better hiphop releases for 2014.
My Top 5 tracks
1. Make Waves
2. Fear
3. Strangeulation cypher (All put together)
4. Hard (A Monster Made It)
5. Over It

Amazing album by a label of seriously amazing artists. You can tell every syllable uttered in this entire album was extensively hand crafted and meticulously analyzed to become one with the production music with it. Every flow and verse are literally part of the music, mainstream and wack emcees take note! This is an album that is NOT to be passed up on. I'm very happy it was pressed to Vinyl and it now sits in a display case on my wall.
