This review is from: Strategic Foresight: The Power of Standing in the Future (Hardcover)
Strategic Foresight is easy to read. The authors explain how to (i) stand at a chosen point in the future (ii) look back to the present and (iii) develop a rolling plan to take oneself, one's company, city or country into the future. For the extremely busy reader, the first three chapters give you a good picture of the technique of foresighting and how it might be applied. The book helps to explain several emerging trends, even trends in the behaviours of our children but which, up to now, we have had some difficulty in interpreting. The book compels us to pay attention to embryonic signs in our environment and challenges us to come to terms with what they might portend. Required reading for all those who are interested in deriving competitive insights for success.

To create the world where your business will be in 2, 5 -10 years time and draw your company in that environment is very scary thing. But makes a lot of since. It means a lot of reserch and planning but is extremely exciting. You will discover amazing stuff if you take this onboard. Easy to read and common sence.Very much recommended to today's business owners who want to be in business in 10, 20, 30... years time.
