I have done some research in this field and have found this book to be an invaluable resource in my studies. I highly recomend this book to anyone with an Internet based business or Web advertising strategy.

I purchased this book for an Internet Marketing class at the University of Texas at Arlington. The first eight chapters of the book was interesting but after that it tended to be bit redundant. The book was great in explain variuos ideas, concepts, and terminology. The thing most useful was the links provided both in print and online for examples of the topics.

Tom, the author, uses this book, originally published in 1996, as the foundation for the classes he teaches at the University of Toronto and McMaster University in Canada.

The book is very well written and follows a very logical progression.

However, being published in 1996, several of the examples are dated or simply do not exist anymore.

I would recommend this book for the novice beginning to learn about the online space. Advanced students might find that the content needs a 'refresh'.

Research of the new marketing medium requires sound beginning references. Vassos provides a foundation to work from. For those who are not Web masters, 'STI' gives an introduction to e-commerce.

This was a very helpful book on using the Internet as a Marketing tool. The author has written this book in a way that will help computer users of all skill levels easily understand how to be successful in using the Internet. This is one of the best computer books that I have read.

Not only was this book an exceptional tool for the classroom, it had a practical and relevant usability to virturaly any and all aspects of business marketing as well. If possible, I would have rated this book beyond the available 5 star rating. Not only do I expect to get an A in my class, I have already been given a job as a result of my ability to use the information contained in this book. Thank you Tom Vassos!

I read this book as a class material. Myself being not an expert about Internet, this book helped me a lot to understand how things work over the Internet that is normally done differently in the real world. There are so many things that we must put into consideration when we are trying to conduct businesses over the Internet.

I think that the book was written well and used great examples except for the fact that some Web sites were not still on the Internet. I also thought that some areas of the book had too many examples and began to get wordy and boring. I also think that the book was not for beginners on the Web. To understand the book completely, one needs to have quite a bit of knowledge about the Internet.
