Jo Lena Johnson(Water), Steven Charles Martin(Ice) and Kevin Fleming (Soul)in my opinion did an impeccable job disseminating the information in a manner that was gentle, humorous, humbling and spiritually for all mind sets to understand. I stated previously that I really enjoyed the music that was placed with each chapter and throughout the chapters, as I approached the end of the book I was extremely impressed with the "Three Strategies to Forgiveness" those were very powerful statements.Read more ›
This is a book that you can sit with your girlfriends or guy friends have a real conversation and come out with some knowledge that could help you in your current relationship or your future relationship.
I give Kodo's to the authors for being honest and open in their quest for helping us heal, prepare and make wise decisions in our relationships.
Ice and Water are in a relationship and you can tell from the second chapter that they are in love with each other and at war. They do battle throughout the book. An example of this is my favorite chapter in the book, Admitting the Truth. This chapter reminds me of the climactic scene in the movie, "A Few Good Men," where Jack Nicholson's character is being questioned by Tom Cruise's character. Cruise tells Nicholson, "I want the truth!" and Nicholson yells back, "You can't handle the truth!" The chapter talks about being honest and truthful in your relationship to avoid a lot of drama and in this chapter, there is a conversation between Ice and Water. Ice, who is in the U.S. Navy, bascially says that since women are not mentally, emotionally and physically capable of handling the truth, men try to protect them from the truth. Water does not understand, like most women and myself, why it is so hard to admit the truth and what men are doing in relationships that they can't tell their mate about it. Ice then says that it's not fair that men do that, but it's a reality and one of the differences between men and women. Yeah, right.Read more ›
