This review is from: 50 Strategies To Sustain Recovery From Bulimia (Paperback)
This is such a positive book and has so many good exercises that can help improve self esteem and self image. I have incorporated some of the methods into my life and they work! The author is so relatable as she shares some of her background and the ways she has stayed on track in her recovery from bulimia. I would recommend this book to anyone, whether they have bulimia or simply want to improve their self esteem and confidence.

I liked the author's first book which was a memoir and I just discovered the follow-up which is really a self-help book. It is full of practical, positive strategies to help with sustaining recovery. I like the way the author deals with so many difference dimensions from the relationship with self to the relationship with food to the relationship with the other people and the world at large. There are exercises at the end of each chapter which are also really useful and each one reinforces the power of affirmations and positive thoughts etc. a message that is great for anyone not just ED sufferers. Now I just have to commit to using the strategies! |
