Top-notch selection for professional educators, February 8, 2000
This review is from: Strategies for Teaching in a Diverse Society: Instructional Models (Hardcover)
This book is an absolute must for educational leaders. "Educational Leaders" are those few men and women who see the need to nurture staff and help them improve their craft. Too many school administrators are "managers" and managers are a dime-a-dozen. Use this book to reinforce with staff via staff development and in-service training the need to "diversify" instructional delivery techniques to serve the "diverse" populations in their school community. This book is excellent for school leaders to plan training, it's excellent for undergrad and grad professors in methods AND instructional leadership. Combine this outstanding device for instructional strategies with Harry Wong's classroom management training and you have a win-win-win program for school improvement----- if you apply it! Great authors, great book. I am honored to have worked with Dr. Matcynski in our local school improvement plans. He and Dr. Lasley have an outstanding piece of work in this book.
