This book shows how satan attacks, his goals, and what our best defense is for that type of attack. There are good examples with explanations from the bible. There is a section on how to live by faith, and how to put on the full armor of God, all step by step, and verse by verse. I could tell that someone did not want me to read this, as I was constantly called away during reading, and once I had to look for it for an hour! The enemy does not want you to read this! As it says in the book, if you are not ready to fully join the spiritual battle, stay on the sidelines. Great Book for the size and price. Good reference!

I read the one-star reviews and don't blame those folks for their negative opinions. The book wasn't written for them! It's for the rest of us "dillusional" folks that have faith in God, through Christ. It says it right on the back, "...for the Christian soldier." Pretty much comprised of people that embrace this by "faith" and accept it as "fact" in their lives. That's their perogative in this free country.

As for me, I'm TOTALLY encouraged for this timeless classic in this world where Christians are embracing motivational messages and cliches more than the real weapon of warfare, the Word. I NEEDED this book to explain this aspect of our Christian life that is more frontline than background as we place it, because it sounds, too fanatical. I said, "Frontline." - that's where the battle takes place for all true Believers. Whether we admit or not!

I really enjoyed this book. This book deals with the four targets of Satan, (mind, body, will, heart/conscience) and the tools he uses for each one. This book was very well structured and everything he writes is back up with scripture. How do we combat Satan in the home, in our lives, in our relationships, and what wepons we use, (the word of God?) All these issues are brought up in Mr Wiersbe's book.

Don't enter the battle blindfolded! You have to know and understand the enemy in order to prevail. Easy reading laced with verses to back up the author's strategy. This book gives proactive Biblical insights to resist and overcome Satan's attack. He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world!

Had it for years. The pages are falling out. Carried it everywhere. Had fun memorizing much of it.Choose now whom you will serve.This work is what it is right from the scriptures. The topic is no horror film or delusion of morality. Warfare is real...as real as rebellion, unforgiveness, bitterness, and rejection,any unrepentant sin you still wrestle with or have yet to admit you still like doing it. Stop playing. Not enough churches are teaching warfare and deliverence.Jesus came not only for salvation but to destroy the works of the devil.That is a declaration of war right there. The enemie has a strategy...where does yours lie?... in decoding his through the authority of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit so you can be used on the front line.The right tool for the right job. Dont just read the work. Have tea with it and let it land and make a difference so you wont bring a knife to a gun battle.

This book is the BEST book I have ever read on spiritual warfare (SW). That is, it is the best book I've read the covers the "practicalities" of the process (and processes) of SW.

That said, the primary function of SW is to KNOW your enemy (or as the old saying goes, "information is POWER"). And this book provides you A LOT of information and/or many of the facets of the powerful being (and his dominion) known as Satan (or the Devil).

Warren Wiersbe does not write like other authors on the topic of SW - Thus, he doesn't regurgitate the same information over-and-over again. Wiersbe gets Straight-to-the-point!!, and doesn't fool around with extra-biblical conjecture or fantasy, as many other "Christian" (so-called) writers regularly engage in. So I would HIGHLY recommend this book.

It is NOT the Holy Bible Holy Bible: New King James Version (NKJV), but it is indeed an very nice supplement to the concepts about SW, Satan, and his evil army. The only difficult part is DOING/Following the advice given from/in the book (as it is always hard to put to "practice" the things of the spirit/spiritual - that is why you cannot do them unless [or until] you pray and call for help from the Holy Spirit [God] Himself - take it for what its worth).

Lastly, I must warn anyone who does begin to read this book, that you WILL begin to experience resistance and attacks, from the one in which this book is written. So I am almost certain you will find out, first hand, who Satan is, as he will send ALL types of distractions, trials, etc., in order hinder and prohibit your completely understanding what is written. So WATCH OUT!

But, he (Satan) does come to Kill, Steal and Destroy (John 10:10), so this shouldn't be a Shocker (for mature Christians, that is.)

PS - Another book [or books] you may want to consider, besides this one, are a few by noted Pastor and Spiritual Author, Charles Stanley. There is: Spiritual Warfare (The Guided Growth Series), When the Enemy Strikes: The Keys to Winning Your Spiritual Battles, etc, etc. Stanley's books are also very focused, pointed, and practical on and with the SW topic (besides is MANY other relevant topics and preaching).

Lastly, there is the EXCELLENT book by by Frank Peretti, called, "This Present Darkness." This latter book, by Peretti is "fiction" but it puts the whole SW, Satan/Demons and the "war" into an interesting perspective. Many people will consider even this book (by Wiersbe) as fiction - But that is only if they are not a believer of God, which even scripture notes, it is "foolishness" (spiritual things, and the Gospel) to those who are perishing (1Cor 1:18). Anyway, GOOD Book!!

Warren shows how God has already equipped us for this battle. He teaches how to put on each piece of this spiritual armor. Best of all he shares the winning attitude.
"Remember you are not fighting for victory but from victory, for Jesus Christ has already defeated Satan!"

This book is a must have for your Christian library. Read it. Live it. Share it.

This book begins in the Garden of Eden. This was the first appearance of Satan in the Bible and reveals that he is a master manipulator of the mind. That is where the battle starts!

Warren Wiersbe is an excallant Bible preacher, teacher, and author. His points all come from the Word of God in an expository fashion. His teachings are dependable and if you want to know more about spiritual warfare, this would be a good read.

Great book! There is no fluff here, just the scriptures, a relevant explanation, and an easy format. A quick read as well, so if you need either a reference, or want to do more in-depth study this book is a great tool.

This is a very well written book. It is one of the most powerful (best) books I have read. The power of Satan is so strong and his infuence has never been more visible than in our current culture. How can we possibly avoid his traps and deceit unless we have a good understanding of how he operates. I would definately recommend this to everyone and especially to pastors or other ministry leaders.
