Once installed, the scanner works quickly and easily. But the manual is terrible. The instructions for installation and operation are incomplete and ambiguous. Here's sentence typical of the English translation: "Have manual 'Calibrate' while the first time you use your Digital Image Copier." The trouble-shooting instructions are useless (basically they tell you to uninstall the driver and try again, but this time follow the instructions, stupid). And there's no contact info for technical support. I got it running after about 90 minutes of trial-and-error and now am happy, but if you have a short fuse you might wind up chucking the whole thing.

This is really a camera in a back lighted box. It is much faster than a scanner. Each picture takes only 6 seconds. The software that comes with it (Arcsoft) works well and automatically improves photographs. I had to shut off the anti-virus software to avoid interference.
