WE BOUGHT THIS LAST APRIL AND IT HAS SPLIT DOWN MOST OF THE LAMINATED SEAMS AND IT LOOOKS LIKE IT WILL MOST LIKELY FALL ABART THIS YEAR. UNBELIEVABLE!

Bought this item last may for my wife for mothers day. Cracked and broke along the wood seam last month. Lasted exactly a year and one month. Shame on amazon for selling this junk.

I received the Strathwood American Cypress Arch Wooden Hammock Stand. The main bow showed signs of separation of wood. The weight / shipping and handling made this product near impossible to achieve appropriate return. So after purchasing the hammock bow I found myself making necessary repairs in order to avoid the near impossible return of this rejected quality product.

After looking for some time, this wood stand was significantly cheaper then other options. The hammock is great though. I am almost 6 feet and my husband is 6'3". We lay in it together and love it. The directions to assemble the hammock could be better, but we were able to figure it out. The texture and feeling of the hammock are great. i would consider staining the wood one day.

I agree...do not buy this stand! I purchased as a gift, the instructions were of very un-clear fuzzy photos with no words...only directing you to a website for further assistance that never gave you Put Together Instructions.
Receiver had to finish drilling holes and force the nuts & bolts to fit properly.
Less than having the stand for a month the main beams began to split and seperate. Amazon said to package it up, and mail it back. Have you ever tried to package up a 90 pound, 6 piece, of a 4x4 curved wooden hammock stand? The poor UPS guy about had a stroke when he delivered it in the first place...and where would I have gotten a box that big or sized anyways???? Especially since the receiver had to cut the box off the wood when it arrived. Very poorly constructed piece, and is Cypress wood not suppose to be one of the toughest & weather resistant woods for ourdoor furniture????? Also return policy should be very clear on ALL products & purchases. I thought Amazon would&investigate their buyers a bit more thorough than they did. I was not satisfied at all with the purchase, the hassle my gifter has had, and for the price that I paid it is a very poorly constructed piece of "Outside Furniture". Spend good money on a stand but go to a real "outdoor furniture" merchandiser who will guarentee the product.

I ordered this hammock stand due to the fact I have no trees that can support a hammock. I saw other Roman Arch stands retailing for $500-$1000, and thought I would take a chance. The stand is very stable and strudy. One draw back is that the pre-drilled holes are not all lined up exactly. They did not need to be drilled out, but a hammer was needed to seat the bolts. Another tip I would utilize is use the tools included with the stand. The counter sunk bolt holes do not allow a socket to grab the bolts. Great stand and a great value I highly reccomend it.

First product arrived with one of the pieces being broken. UPS picked up the return right from my house. No carrying around a 70lb. box to get it returned. Second box arrived days later. Everything went together without a problem. Holds the two person hammock we have and works beautifully. Wife and I were using it together yesterday as a matter of fact. Wish we had purchased this years ago. Well built and I'm sure easily holds stated weight.
