I did not know anything about Kapur wood when I saw this table on Amazon.com. I did some research, and after being satisfied by what I had read concerning Kapur, I purchased the table. It arrived in excellent condition, and was easy to assemble - you simply need to attach the legs. The finish is beautiful and comes with a generous coat of teak oil to protect it from the elements. The table is very sturdy and looks gorgeous on my patio. Looking at the wwod, you can tell that Kapur is a very dense and durable wood. This is an excellent substitute to teak, which I find simply too expensive.

3 things bothered me about this table. One, a shipping company called Eagle brought the package later and for 4 times what UPS charged for 2 other Strathwood packages that were even larger than the table. Two, I make furniture now and then; their definition of mortise and tenon joinery is in need of updating- this table lacks mortises and tenons completely. It is screwed and bolted together like other cheap tables. Three, Strathwood, or their distributor, sent two wrong items in place of the items I chose. Caveat emptor.

My wife and I recently purchase a whole suite of Strathwood products to populate our redwood deck. I researched Kapur wood since I hadn't heard of it before, and I was impressed enough to order the Basic Elements 43" table, 30" folding table and 3 pairs of the folding chairs. We are wonderfully pleased with our new patio furniture, it came quickly, it's beautiful, and the Kapur wood looks like it will last through the elements. We also are have had a wonderful experience entirely with Amazon.com! We got their great "free shipping" deal with most of the order and when we got our last piece in, the 43" table we continued our great experience with Amazon.

I'll explain. I wasn't sure about something concerning the table when it arrived, so I went online to look at it again. Seemingly, to my dismay, all the items I had just purchased and received were being sold at a lower cost. I emailed Amazon not sure what to expect and they refunded the difference in the price I paid and the new sales prices of all the pieces I ordered. Now that is what I call "Customer Service!" Kudos to the entire team at Amazon, and you can quote me wherever you would like!

I ordered this table in June as a birthday present. It didn't ship for 2 weeks (even though its still marked as 'usually ships within 24 hours'). When it did ship, Eagle, the shipper chosen by Amazon, had no record of the tracking number Amazon gave me. Repeated requests to Amazon were replied to by form emails saying it was a specialty carrier and I should call them direct and not to worry. Several weeks went by before Amazon and Eagle investigated and found that it had been lost somewhere in shipping.

Amazon re-ordered the table for me, and re-shipped it with Eagle. Eagle has yet to be able to get it to me, even though I've been waiting at home for several full days without leaving for fear of missing it. The driver even called at 6pm last Friday and said he'd have the table to me on Saturday before noon. I haven't seen nor heard from him since.

No one seems to want to take responsibility. Remember when people used to say how great the service was at Amazon? Who is this Eagle carrier and why did Amazon think it was OK to use such an unprofessional outfit? Why isn't Jeff Bezos carrying this table to my door personally?

I acknowledge that it's a cheap way of getting the "teak" look but, it might just be too cheap. During the first rain, the table's stain ran all over our stone patio. I can't appreciate outdoor furniture that can't take the outdoors!

A very solid, sturdy table. Assembly is a snap; you just need one small adjustable wrench. One leg arrived slightly mangled. I called the company, sent them a digital photo and they immediately replaced the leg at their expense. This piece would get a higher rating if folks would rate the product and not its shipping. Fine table, excellent customer service.

This table is very solid, attractive, a great color, and easy to put together. A great buy.

I'm very pleased with this table. The shipping was quite fast (less than a week). Easy to assemble. It looks very nice in the backyard, more particularly with the 2 chairs and the bench from the same manufacturer.

The table is fairly sturdy and came in good shape. It was easy to assemble and looks good. All in all, we are pleased with it.

If you want a wooden outdoor table for a smaller patio area, this is your answer. It is solid wood - looks great and for $99, you can't beat it. Assembly is a snap. 4 legs with 2 screws each. You can assemble it in about < 10 minutes. I ordered it on Monday and it was delivered on Friday - shipping was $10.

Incidentally, someone else wrote about rain and the finish washing off. It poured Friday afternoon and nothing washed off.
Maybe they've solved that problem.
