You'll need a large throw pillow for a back cushion - 20" at least. Also, the chair is fairly low. Seat cushion is okay, about the same quality as Target or Home Depot. Construction is plastic wicker over a steel frame, so I suspect some rusting over the years. Overall, a very nice chair, at a decent price-point. If you want a nice patio chair cover that fits fairly well, check out Veranda Patio Chair Cover 78932 on Amazon ($19 each). The cover is heavy duty, and is waterproof.

Received this item and its great!! I have this under a gazebo and wanted an Asian modern look with straight lines. This was perfect. The type of wicker, (actually plastic) is VERY durable. The cushions are thick and actually solid. Some are real soft (cheap). These are not. This chair is really wide and sits low to the ground. I could not have asked for better. I bought 2 of these chairs back in June 06. They are great! They are built well and look wonderful. Very comfortable and roomy. I have them in an area that gets diffused light, but they got rained on alot. With winter upon us, I now have them stored outside under a protective cover. I would definately buy more of this line. Local stores want $300 - $400 for a chair of this quality. Great buy!

I use this chair on a privacy-screened sun deck. I sun au naturel, i.e. in the buff. I fully agree with the reviewer who observed that this chair needs a cushion for the back. I find that the chair also needs cushions on the arms too. The plastic wicker material gets blisteringly hot in the direct sun and anyone (not just a person sunning completely nude) could easily get their back, forearms and hands badly blistered on the present unpadded arms and back. I use an outdoor toss pillow to protect my back and droop beach towels on the arms of this chair. The seat cushion that comes with the chair is completely adequate and does not become uncomfortably warm in direct sunlight.

The chair is built very sturdy with metal reinforcements visible in the bottom (underneath) section. The rest of the frame seems to be part metal and part wood. I believe that if the arms were exposed wood without the plastic wicker material they wouldn't become so blazingly hot from the sun but I didn't design this thing.

Amazon shipped the chair via Eagle trucking. Eagle was excellent in their service. However the chair comes in a bulky box. Somehow the deliveryman managed to squeeze the box with its contents through my front door but, after unpacking the chair, I had to cut the box in half with a Bowie knife to get it out of the house. Just thought I'd mention that.

We love these chairs! We have been looking and didn't want to spend 1000 dollars just for one chair. We ended up buying 4 chairs and the sofa. The look great around our pool and all our friends rave, about them. We had seen some chairs from frontgate and these were just as good, but at a fraction of the cost.

This chair is stylish and comfortable. It's hard to tell what the wicker is made of, which DOES NOT look like plastic (even though I suspect it is). The wicker is smooth and looks high quality. The cushion is firm and deep. We've had it a while now and it's stood up to rough treatment from our kids. Delivery was unexpectedly quick, within ten days.

I was a little worried about how this would look based on the price, but was very pleasantly surprised when we got it. It is of very high quality and looks awesome. My only gripe would be the cushion which they state is not weather resistant. It would be nice if outdoor furniture had cushions that was weather resistant. The instructions state that the cushion should be brought in during inclement weather. This is not a huge deal for us as we are using it in an indoor pool environment, but I suspect for outdoor use it may be a nuissance. The Amazon description does state this fact so we knew this in advance. I figured that if the cushion got stained over time that it would not be a big deal to have it recovered.

We bought two arm chairs, love seat, low cocktail table, 2 lounge chairs and one bench storage. We love them! Nothing but great reviews from our friends on the looks of the furniture. I did not expect the covers on the cushions to last more than one season in Sacramento hot sun, and they did OK. I will replace the cover with Sunbrella covers, but the cotton ones that come with are fine for a summer or two. The cushion/foam is really good, (surprisingly so) that there is no need to replace the inner foam, just the covers. Furniture itself is a great value and the looks are right up there with our "really expensive" furniture that we have in another part of the yard. All and all, great value!

I got these Strathwood Camano chairs (and the sofa) recently. Echoing most of the other reviews, I am so pleased. I spent a year trying to find a "deal" on outdoor furniture, looking online and in furnitures stores. Everything I liked the look of was $2 or 3K. I found these on Amazon and loved the modern look. The delivery was unbelievably quick - I think I got the chairs 2 days after I ordered them. True to the other reviews, the cushions are slightly disappointing - they feel and look more like the inner part of a cushion, almost like they are missing the cover. But the chair construction is unbelievable. It looks amazing and even has these cool leather and metal tags that just scream quality. I paired the chairs with a 20x20 cushion for the back. I also treated the seat cushion with a scotchguard spray to help prevent the stains that will inevitably come from 2 dogs + kid household. Overall, I am thrilled. I hope they bring the coffee table from this line back as that's the only thing left to buy!

I love this chair and purchased 4 of them. they are comfortable and look great. I don't agree that you need a cushion for the back. They are great as is and arrive fully assembled. Unfortunately 2 of the 4 arrived damaged either from shipping or warehousing. 1 of the chairs was obviously damaged and I sent it back right away. the other was not noticibly damaged until I set it up. The return was a a bit of a pain. And it was impossible to get anyone on the phone to help me. Amazon was good about replacing the items but I would have preferred to recieve the items in good condition and not have to deal with the extra hassle of returning them.
