I purchased my birdbath for use as a bird feeder (I actually like squirrels and I enjoy watching them in the yard) however even when putting it together there were a couple of obvious flaws that need mentioning.

1 - Does not have a solid base (the stand is hollow) and has no built in way to anchor to the ground. In other words, this thing tips over quite easily. The squirrel jumping off the bath to the ground makes it rock pretty violently.

2 - The coat of paint flakes easily, then chips and rusts. I've had little rust spots appearing in areas that simply didn't get painted well from the factory as well as paint chipping from areas which were dented when the bath fell over due to wind / squirrel / dog. The metal underneath is not stainless.

That being said, for the price it's not a bad bird bath, and you'll probably be hard put to find something similar for less or equal value.

First, this item is worth the money if you want a little something in the yard. However, it is wobbly and will start to rust. Simply, you get what you pay for with this Bird Bath. I will be surprised if we keep it a full year.

Though not the sturdiest birdbath I've come across, it is what I expected for the price and quite serviceable. Don't plan to leave it out in high winds but it's in a protected area and has been standing steadily. The item came very quickly, is easy to assemble and is being happily enjoyed by our local wildlife.
