My wife was thrilled when she got it. It comes in it's own carrying back, folds up completely including the canopy and just open up load a normal folding chair. Once you get the canopy deployed you just push on a lever to lock it in place. Even with no instructions included it was easy. We just had to figure out what the little cutout was for at the top of the canopy. It's to pull a little handle out so you can raise and lower the top at your convenience.

She loves it and takes it along to all the outdoor concerts we go to. If you don't want the top up just leave it down!

I bought this canopy chair at such a modest price, I had the expectation it would not be very high quality. I was pleasasntly surprised. I am 6'2" and weigh 235 lbs.--it has held up well to untold hours on the soccer & softball fields.

Two features would further improve the design:
1. better ventilation through the seat fabric (important in the Arizona heat)
2. plastic clips that hold the canopy up (in extreme heat, they soften & won't hold the canopy upright)

Overall a great value.

Tip for smart shoppers: I was able to purchase the "Sunflower" color for much less than the blue.

I planned on using the canopy chair for activities that involved a lot of sitting and watched what was going on. The chair is fairly sturdy and is ok comfortable. The real problem is the canopy overhang and surrounding curtain severly cut my field of view, making it almost impossible to see more than a few yards in front of the chair. For readers and nappers this may not be a problem but for soccer game parents don't plan on seeing too much of the game.

The built-in canopy on this chair provides instant shade. The top locks into place, but the chair itself is a bit unstable, it doesn't lock into place.

I took this chair on a road trip vacation. Every place that my husband decided to stop to fish... I used this chair. For shade it was GREAT as long as you placed it with the sun to your back. However, when it was windy not only did the canopy come down the entire chair fell over when not in it.

With all that said... it was still very easy to fold, unfold, store in its bag and did keep the sun off of me. I am glad I had it and will continue to use it.

We are car show enthusiasts. End up in parking lots and fields with no place to sit or get protection from pounding sun and weather. These chairs have flip up tops that are perfect. Don't need to lug chairs and sseparate cumbersome umbrellas any more--get all in one. Have been using these all summer long and no problems at all. Easy to set up and take down, have heavy nylon bags that make them easy to carry. These chairs are fantastic.

Chair is little heavier than anticipated, but very comfortable. Top folds in slot of chair-does not come apart as I expected.

This is a comfortable alternative to having to lug an umbrella AND a chair to the beach. The chair is comfortable, sturdy and easy to carry, but I have a few issues with it.
Since the chairs don't come with instructions on how to open and close it, I were a little confused at first. It took a while to figure out how to get it opened and closed. After using it for a few weeks, I think I finally have it figured out. Also, the canopy does not hold up well against strong winds. When the beach is very breezy, the canopy can blow over backwards and collapse. Even though the canopy locks into place, a strong wind can unhinge it. Also, depending on how much shade you want, you may have to keep moving the chair to get the canopy to block the sun.
Despite these minor flaws, I still find myself using the chair often. It is convenient, easy to transport and I would recommend it to a friend.

I bought this because it looked exactly like I wanted with a shade for the face and back. It is exactly that but just as good is that it is easier to set up than I thought it would be. Just spread it out and it unfolds ready to to sit on !
It really couldnt be easier and I like that so much. It stores away and opens up very easy and convenient.

Bought these in anticipation of an annual event that we go to each year. Thought it would be sunny but it wasn't. the chair is easy enough to open and put the canopy up. Takedown is easy as well although not as intuitve. Looking forward to testing it out this summer when the sun is really bearing down. I didn't think they were flimsy -- at least not any more so than other folding chairs.
