Time to Kick Back and Relax

The Strathwood Rawley collection helps transform any porch, patio, or back deck into welcoming place to visit with friends or to simply enjoy a bit of tranquility.

As part of the Rawley collection, this set of two outdoor swivel-rocker dining arm chairs gracefully combines style and comfort to pleasing results. Whether placed on the patio next to a fire pit or clustered around a table for dinner parties, the chairs make a welcome addition to any outdoor furniture collection.

Versatile, Comfortable, Durable Design

Each handsome chair features a durable yet lightweight frame made of cast aluminum that resists chipping, fading, and rusting and comes with a brown powder-coated finish for enhanced protection and visual appeal. Each chair also provides a comfortable seat and supportive back made of woven, water-resistant Textilene fabric in a blend of light- and dark-brown hues. A geometric design on the frame's back adds extra support and attractive good looks, while rounded arms complement the chair's back. Each chair gently rocks back and forth, plus offers 180-degree swivel capability, while four curved legs connected to a round, hoop-shaped base provides stability.

Coordinates with Most Any Decor

Tastefully designed to blend with almost any decor, the set of two dining arm chairs can be used on their own, with existing outdoor furniture pieces, or as part of the coordinating Rawley furniture collection from Strathwood (dining table, umbrella, and other pieces from the collection sold separately).

Each swivel-rocker dining arm chair measures 37.2 inches high by 23.6 inches deep by 27 inches wide and weighs just over 17 pounds. The chairs require some easy assembly. As needed, simply spot clean and air dry.

The chairs arrived in one huge box that was 3 foot by 3 foot and 2 foot high. Both chairs were in one box. They each came in two pieces. They were very well wrapped with plastic wrap/ Although there was room in the box for them to move around, the chairs were in perfect condition. Assembly consisted of bolting the bottom base to the top chair. There are 4 bolts and a lot of washers to do this. They include two small wrenches to tightened the bolts. I used one and my own ratchet to do the job. After they are together, there are plastic bolt caps that go on all the exposed bolt and screw heads. I thought this was a nice touch.

After they were together, I sat and watched TV in one. They rock and turn around in a circle. The chair was very comfortable. I was very happy with how nice it was to sit in. I then moved them to my sun room where they really look nice. They really add class to the room. I am going to order the matching round glass table soon to have a matching set. They seem to be a great value and I reccomend them.

Notes:
- Chairs come in a huge box in two pieces
- They must be assembled but it's not too difficult
- They rock and swivel
- Very comfortable to sit in
- Look great.

First, I would like to say that it took longer than expected to put these chairs together. When I got the box, I opened it and started to put them together..that's when I realized that the tool they sent didn't fit. That's okay, I have my own tools. So I went and got them out. I continued pulling items out of the box. I then realized that not only did the tool not fit, but there were no instructions and also all of the bolts, washers, etc. were just thrown in the box. I was missing 5 of what I needed. They might have been safe that way, but the tape was coming off of the box when it was delivered, so I bet a delivery truck somewhere has some of the parts.

After a visit to the local hardware store for washers and bolts, I then was able to put the chairs together. After all the frustration of lost parts, the chairs made up for it. They are super comfortable and nice. I love them! They swivel very nicely and rock very smoothly. I will love them, especially this summer during cookouts!

Bought two of these chairs for my dad (part of the gifts for his 81st birthday) and we were pretty excited when they were delivered. They looked great. It was after putting them to use that we discovered how poorly they're constructed. The chair frame has a central post which rests within a tube - the tube has two bearings to allow for swivel in the chair. The tube is constructed from thin gage metal which allows the chair to rock in the tube. The metal is so thin, that it quickly widens to the point where the bearing falls out and the chair frame falls off the base. It is not repairable. Realizing this, we tried some preventive maintenance on the second of the two chairs, shimming the shaft and bearing into the thin metal frame cups in an effort to prevent the wobble and rocking which deforms the entire assembly.

It's a temporary solution - the inevitable result will be a broken chair; we've simply delayed the event. Folks, it's not like my 81 yr old father is playing rock star on top of these chairs. They should have been able to stand up to bird watching and a casual chat with the neighborhood mailman (yup, ours is actually a man so I can say it that way). I feel like a chump for trusting that these chairs were constructed with quality. I should have known not to buy without having seen them first. And ok, maybe I just got the only two "lemons" in the vast warehouse of Strathwood chairs but I doubt it.

Icing on the cake? Amazon customer assistance was neither customer oriented, nor did they assist. They passed me off to the manufacturer before I was even able to finish saying "hello".

Just like another review mentioned, I had a few missing pieces...

They really need to put all the pieces and tools in a sturdy smaller box and not just cram everything in a THIN PLASTIC BAG that would easily rip bouncing around.

When I opened the huge box that it arrived in, all the pieces were scattered and I had to go on a scavenger hunt... the bag was ripped. (I'll upload a picture in the gallery). There should also be two wrenches, but I was missing one. I'm pretty sure the missing pieces fell out of the box during transportation.

It's not difficult to assemble this on your own (especially if you have all the tools and pieces), but it helps to have a second person.

The chair does slightly rock and it's great that it swivels. The chair looks very nice and goes well with the patio.

This chair is a bit on the smaller side... and I'm pretty petite. I imagine this would be uncomfortable for someone who is large.

It rained/hailed pretty badly couple days ago, and it really put these chairs to the test -- they're still good!
