For any fan of the series you know well that it is a story told in the modern day but on a hill that tradition has kept pure. With an almost turn of the century feel, a classical soundtrack just feels right. And what a soundtrack! The first 32 tracks consist of instrumental BGM (all orchestral not synthesized).

What's on it... Most of the major themes throughout the show. There's three major musical motifs throughout the series. It contains several different versions of these. It also contains many of the standalone tracks. What it does not contain... As mentioned there are subtle variations of the motifs and not all were included. Also, there was some synth tracks in the series that were not included. There's enough that wasn't included including piano versions, piano-orchestral versions, and others that they could do a second OST. And I'd love to see them do it! In particular with Piano versions of Tracks 4, 11, 13, and 29. There are several others I'd like to see released as well, but back to the review. Noteworthy is the fact that "Moonlight Sonata" -Beethoven & "Maiden's Prayer" -Tekla Badarzewska are not on the OST.
