5.0 out of 5 stars
my 4 year olds love it,
By Suzanne Naranjo (Santa Rosa, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strawberry Shortcake and the Birthday Surprise (Hardcover)
This is really the story of Raspberry Tart and how she thought everyone had forgotten her birthday. She's not exactly perfect. When she has asked only 1 friend to play with her and is rebuffed, she uses a sharp tone of voice with the 2nd friend who says no. This is a topic for discussion. My kids said she should have been nicer. Later on in the day, of course, there is a surprise party, so Raspberry Tart is happy. My boy/girl twins love this book. There are about 4-5 paragraphs on each page, so they have to use their imagination for most of the narration.
