Book Description

3 and upStrawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Shortcake and her pals are playing a friendly game of soccer. But feelings get hurt when Angel Cake cares more about winning than about having fun. In the end, Angel learns that friends are much more important than winning a game-and that being a bad sport is no fun!

Illustrated by Ken Edwards.

2.0 out of 5 stars bad grammar; decent messages, August 8, 2010

Poor grammar is inexcusable: "There's enough of us for a game!" Kids hear enough incorrect grammar in spoken English as they go through life. At least we can hope the books they read will model correct usage.

There are some positive messages about sharing, being a good sport, being empathetic to others, etc. So it's not all bad.

The illustrations are pretty low quality. I don't recommend this book.
