My daughters ages 5 and 7 each received Nintendo DS game systems for Christmas. The games they received: the Little Mermaid, That's So Raven, Barbie 12 Dancing Princesses and Hannah Montana, turned out to be quite difficult for them. StrawberryLand is alot of fun for my 5 yr old. The dialog directions are quite lengthy and she can't read, but the game play is fun. Since Strawberry Shortcake is generally for girls in the pre-K, younger elem age group, the game is age appropriate. Older girls who can read better may find it too easy. Less dialog would have earned 5 stars for this game.

My daughter received Nintendo DS for Christmas along with her most desired game, Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. Unfortunately that game has proven to be too difficult for her to enjoy. (She is six years old, but a beginner with hand held video games). Thankfully, she also received the Strawberryland Games. This is perfect for her! The games are short, the directions easy to comprehend and there are lots of fun games and activities to choose from. Strawberryland Games saved the day!

This game is really fun and I enjoy it as an adult. (Played to learn and help my daughter who is 6.) I think that the game is fine for a 6 year old once they get the hang of it. I am not sure that many 6 year olds could just sit down and play it, but it is fairly easy to catch on to. It is cute as Strawberry shortcake goes on races, visits a desert booth, and has fun at each station during the strawberry games. Overall, I would recommend this game as long as mom or dad can give a little help at the outset.

Purchased for my 6 y.o. daughter as one of her first DS games. Great for her age and limited gaming experience.

We bought this for our 5 year old daughter. She likes it OK, but there is a lot of dialogue to read through before any games can be played. We did have to sit with her the first several times to help her, but she has gotten the hang of it and can play most of the games by herself. That being said, she much prefers the New Super Mario Bros, and another Mario game, Princess Peach. These are much easier to play, and she just likes them better!

I bought this game for my 5 year old who can play Mario games and the Carnival game with ease. This game is so difficult for her that she can't make it past one level. She brings the game to me and even I can't get the gyst of throwing the bubbles to jump on them. It takes a lot of skill to get this down and it is a core component of being able to master the game. I assumed that Strawberry Shortcake would be for young kids but was sadly mistaken. I think this game misses the mark in all categories. Young kids can't master the technique of the game and older kids will find the concept babyish. A game that you can't progress in, is not a fun game to play.
My daughter loves all the Mario games and loves the Carnival Games. Strawberry Shortcake will go in the trash.

My 5 yr old loves Strawberry Shortcake so I thought she would love this game. It is probably one of her least favorite (she prefers nintendogs, cooking mama, smart girls and fashion designer) It has alot of reading and is not simple for her to play without my assistance.Unless you want to constantly read to them, don't buy it.
