WHAT a DEAL!!!!, July 31, 2001

Seems there's a PILE of Stray Cats "best of" repackages out there, now that the BSO hit the big-time. 4 of the original 5 Stray Cats albums are also available at Amazon now, though at least a couple of these are pricey! I checked around-- THIS is probably the BEST deal for anyone looking for "one good CD" by the band. 20 songs for under (...) bucks! That's about 4 TIMES the value for your money (half the price and twice the songs) if getting the actual albums isn't a priority.
STRAY CAT STRUT contains 6 songs from STRAY CATS (1981), 9 (out of 11) from GOTTA BALL (1981) and 5 from RANT 'N' RAVE (1983). For anyone who wants some really powerful, fun rockabilly, this may be the place. I'm not absolutely sure about the sound quality here (not having the others to compare against) but then it is possible music like this isn't SUPPOSED to sound "over-produced"! (My one rhetorical question is: HOW did I ever miss this stuff the first time around??)
