Book Description

From Bestselling Author Natasha Stories

Erin Timms took a new job as a veterinarian in Sunshine, Colorado for two important reasons: to get away from her ex, and to give herself a chance at a new life. But when devastating news of her ex follows her there, she begins to think she has made a terrible mistake.

Tall, stunning-looking Jon Miles had only one goal: to save the mountain canyon where Sunshine is located from businessmen who want to exploit it. But how can he do that when he is already an outcast?

There was nothing to suggest they’d ever meet, much less strike a spark of red-hot romance. Except that Erin can never turn away a stray. . .

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! June 25, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What I liked about this book was that it didn't take the route of a normal romance story. I liked that it was different. Erin was a wonderful, loving, kindhearted veterinarian and Jon was a sweet, sexy, ambitious business man that had a few things to learn about himself. I loved it :)

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than I expected. A good read July 15, 2014

3.5 stars

Stray surprised me. I started reading it and almost put it right back down again since I didn't think I would enjoy it. It starts off pretty quick with Erin and Jon meeting and being super attracted to each other. This follows some self loving by both of them thinking of the other and it just seemed like alright, this is just going to be a sex book with no real story (or light story). I was surprised that after that it really wasn't. It focused more on the story, and yes there was some sex but it wasn't the only thing happening like I had thought originally.

Erin's boyfriend left her once he graduated medical school leaving her pretty upset. He didn't sound very good, was always telling her how being a vet is not a real doctor and such. She paid for everything while they were both in school so she was pretty angry when he just left her. Since she is hurt and angry she decides to try small town life when she sees an ad for a vet wanted. The guy who owns the clinic is thinking of retiring soon so she would hopefully be able to buy the practice and have her own place one day.

Jon is the son of one of the shareholders for the resort. The people in Sunshine hate resort people. Why? Well when the original people came to the town to make the resort they promised to be environmentally friendly and keep it small, not this massive horrible mess that they have now. Since the founders lied to the town the town is none too happy with the people who now own the resort. Jon, however, is not like the others. He is secretly trying to get enough people to vote with him so he can oust the current CEO and chairman of the board and try to and save Sunshine. The resort wants to put up yet another high rise hotel which would kill the valley.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth Reading July 30, 2014
By Pamela
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I ended up enjoying "Stray" more than I thought I would. Not only did I love the story, I ended up loving both Erin and Jon, two well-developed characters. All throughout I couldn't help but root for them both just hoping they would have their HEA. What really stood out about the characters was how realistic they came across. Even for two people who are 30, it was a learning curve. Jon had to learn how his actions affected Erin and a few others, knowing what he did was wrong, and learn what was really important to him. As for Erin, I loved that she stood up for herself, not only with Jon, but also with her friends. (view spoiler) The sexcapades between the two, though only a few, were definitely hot. I really appreciated how the author brought them together in the end as their relationship took time and patience to reach their HEA. So unlike so many other novels where all is forgiven the very next day, with instant love and let's get married crap. With a few twists and turns thrown in, "Stray" is a sweet and simple story that brought a smile to my face, as well as a couple of laughs which is always a good thing. Surprisingly, "Stray" is available for free on Amazon in Kindle format so I suggest if you want to read it, get it now. I look forward to reading more works by this wonderful author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Believable, Steamy and Fun! July 7, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is the first Natasha Stories book that I have read. I enjoyed it a lot. The characters were well developed and believable. I didn't want to put it down. I liked the strong Heroine who really didn't play games and stayed true to who she was. I liked the premise and enjoyed the plot. There are also some steamy scenes if you like that. I felt it was well written and an all around fun to read. I look forward to reading more of this author's stories.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy Read July 24, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Let me start off by saying that I love animals and I love books. With that being said, I knew I would like this book.

Erin Timms is starting a new life in a small town. Her ex-boyfriend that she supported through medical school broke up with her when he graduated. Later, she found out that he cheated on her with one of her so-called friends. She ends up moving from Dallas, TX to Sunshine, Colorado to see if small-town life is better for her. Erin started working with the local vet in hopes that when he retired she would take over and buy his practice.

Jon Miles is in Sunshine, CO on business. He is currently dating Ashleigh, who is the daughter of the CEO of a resort in town. He is trying to save the small town from theresort overtaking it, and will do anything to make sure there is no more damage to the canyon.

One Friday night right after the vet closed for the night, there was banging on the front door by a man holding a dog who is obviously hurt. Not being able to turn them away Erin opened the door and let them in. John Miles explained that the Golden Retriever had been hit by a car and that the dog didnt belong to him. He doesn’t mention that Ashleigh is the one who hit the dog and told him that she wished she would have killed the mangy dog when she hit him. Thank goodness Jon is an animal lover and did everything in his power to help the dog they call Max, including pay for all of the medical expenses. They have an instant attraction, but Erin will not give him the time of day since she knows he has a girlfriend.

With fighting the new resort, Erin helps Jon gain the trust of some of the shareholders, but will it be enough?

3.0 out of 5 stars It was OK...
Just wasn't what I expected! I don't know the storyline seemed a little weak to me. So much more could have been written to make the characters and the story pop! Oh well!

You've got to be kidding me!
Lots of down votes for any review (even if well written) below 4 are an indicator of author manipulation in my opinion.
