5.0 out of 5 stars Toasterhead
Man, I've just enjoyed while watching (and reading) those half painted, half drawn pages.
I think that I'll put this book on my top shelf, among some other stuff by McKean and Bilal!
The storyline is very heavy and psychotic ... it reminds me
on some artistic, experimental short films. And it's dark. I like that! But there's a touch of detective novel...

1.0 out of 5 stars weird, disturbing
Wow, this got printed. I came across it and wish I hadn't. I hope this can help balance out some of the other comments. This one is very far out there, disturbing.

The storyline is very heavy and psychotic ... it reminds me
on some artistic, experimental short films. And it's dark. I like that! But there's a touch of detective novel as well (like in Bladerunner - he's chasing some crazy machines).
The print is nice, paper is OK, and at the end of the book you have a few sketches & illustrations by Mr. Sienkiewicz, as some bonus material.
There is only one thing that could get on your nerves: Too much captions (txt boxes).

5.0 out of 5 stars most monkeys have little spaces in their lower jaws., August 11, 2007
This review is from: Stray toasters
the plotline for this haphazardly (written in three weeks, between the hours of 2 and 5 am, while the artist worked in a coal mine) drawn comic involve stray toasters, alcohol, sex, cities, and bare feet.

so its kinda like that hit tv show, but only if RZA was actually a dolphin, and his rhymes were the answer to world peace.

bill's the man. though i suspect his parents were dolphins. and i hope i never meet him in a dark alley.
