5.0 out of 5 stars a quick ride through insanity
clocking in at 17 minutes, this 8 song cd is just full of energy. drastic but positive changes have occured from their last cd "inhumane". they are faster, dirtier, more aggressive then previous cds. when i bought this cd, it blew my mind. the raw energy captured in these songs have easily become some of my favorite punk/psycho stuff ive heard. i think this cd has...

3.0 out of 5 stars Another band gone astray
I'm all for bands starting in new creative directions, but this is another band whose prior releases I loved who drastically changed their sound for the worse.

Removing all the melody and interesting guitarwork from their songs, the Koffin Kats have opted to play as fast and as loud as they can, repeating simple power chord rhythms underneath singing which no...

I'm in a psychobilly band, so excuse my bias.

This is basically fast, catchy punk rock with a rockabilly flavor and really, really, good vocals. It has more of a straightforward punk sound to it than their previous albums, and the new sound is right to the point. I love it when that happens! Mechanical Youth and Splatterhouse destroy, while Buzzkill Bitch, raises eyebrows in the best way. See 'em live if you like it!

Removing all the melody and interesting guitarwork from their songs, the Koffin Kats have opted to play as fast and as loud as they can, repeating simple power chord rhythms underneath singing which no longer works with the style.

The result is about 15 minutes of what sounds like the same song over and over.
