If you can work through some of the rough writing and commentary (don't judge this book by it's binding or writing -- go for the theory) and get to the meat of Yuri's "method" and intellect, you will find yourself with a wonderful counting method that uses basic statistics and math. He approaches his theory by bringing other popular systems to the forefront and looking at gaps in thinking. He does show though that almost every slot expert reviewed can agree on the fact that slot machines go through hot and cold "streaks" and "splashes". He breaks down his theory into logical measurements (intervals and cycles) and thouroughly explains how to use these and understand their shapes. A basic understanding of descriptive statistics makes this book very doable. I use some of my slot software to practice his methods -- my bankroll lasts much much longer and I am able to walk out ahead 90% of the time.

I can say that I had a similar method that I'd been using for the past couple of years -- but my method was very crude. Yuri put clear, quantifiable parameters around his method and theory. These paramaters have saved me a lot of money in the past 6 weeks. Today, I won a jackpot for $2000, last night a smaller one for $900. I hit jackpots atleast every other visit (1-2 times a week - I visit a local casino). I attribute this fact to the testing that I do on machines and some of the practice and discipline I do with my slots software. Yuri explains a good way to use his thermometer method and test a machine without blowing too much of your bankroll (can test within a minute and get the feel). I find myself doing the circuits of slot machines and going back and forth to some over time. I can test 40-50 machines in about 1 hour or so. I mean business :-)

If you want a fighting chance at hanging on to your bankroll and you like a strategy for play and have some discipline, buy this book and learn this method. Really, really awesome. I give it 5-stars for the great, academic approach and usable method.
