I found this book a great reference for both Engineers and Ecologists for getting up to speed an the various aspects of stream hydology. It is very well laid out, with meaningful figures and references. Applicable formulas and analytical methods are also well explained without going into lenghty proofs.

This was a textbook for a hydrology course, it's an easy read, even for the non-hydrologist/ geographer. Lots of good exercises and suggestions for in-field experiments.
