Great Flashlight!!!,

I bought the Streamlight twin-task 2D cell flashlight about a 10 months ago. It is a great flashlight, very bright and the batteries last a long time. I work as an aircraft maintenance technician and in my line of work have sujected this light to many different enviroments; from high temperatures to cold and rain, it even survived a 25' drop from the tail of one aircraft. A few scratches later it still is working like the first day I took it out of the package. My two former Maglights have not been able to take all that abuse. If anyone is looking to buy a new flaslight I highly recomend this one over any other.

Works fine, until the button breaks,
Really neat idea. Three levels of brightness. The problem is with the cheaply designed switch. The switch internally rotates with each depression of the button. The switch itself is smaller than a dime and made of plastic with metal contacts that rotate. Once the contacts fail to rotate then the expensive flashlight is useless. My flashlight failed before the batteries gave out. So I guess one set of batteries is all you will ever have to buy for this flashlight.
I would only recommend a flashlight that has on and off. This type of switch has to be a lot more reliable. Also, LED light is ok for small flashlights, but I still prefer to have a normal light bulb in a heavy two D-cell flashlight.

Streamlight,

I'm a bit disappointed with this light. I use it only with the leds, as the regular flashlight bulb is much too dim. The circular leds put out enough light to do close-up work, but the flashlight to me, is useless. It's very easy on the batteries when used as a close-up light source. It is well built also.
