The price tag is high, but when the item is an important add-on to your primary sidearm, it's an easy choice.

I bought mine USED for quite a bit less than listed, because it only came with the GLOCK key for it. Of course I was buying it for a GLOCK 21, so no problem there. I'll go over the pros and cons as I see them, as objectively as I can. Cons first, because I think the negatives always weigh my decisions more than the positives.

Cons--Price. $200+ for an add-on with electronics and moving parts, hence more chances for failure(none so far, but it's a possibility). If you don't have a bearing holster, your old one won't be functional with this on the rail. Not waterproof, like the TLR-1(and a little bulkier of course). Attachment bolt needs regular cleaning/oiling as it is not aluminum/carbon but steel. Battery door will feel like a puzzle until you pull a quarter out of your pocket. Collects dust on the lens guard/laser like an old library(suprise...guns release hot powder residue bursts at barrel exit and breech). Which is probably what happened to K. Jordan. You have to clean after every use, you don't want that stuff building up. If you want to adjust the laser, you'll need a nearly microscopic .050" hex key, but that should come with a new one. That's the most I can come up with.

Pros--Reliable. That's about all I should need to say to justify it's value, but I've yet to have a problem. Eight boxes of ammo so far (that's four-hundred rounds of .45ACP worth) with it attached. I stagger on and off so the slight weight/feel difference doesn't change my aim, so the ease of attaching/detaching is welcomed. Though quick, it's not just snap on, I wouldn't trust that--there's a bolt that secures it for a tight grip, and it's pretty heavy duty...maybe overly so. Takes me under ten seconds. Pretty decent run time, I'd say about 2 and a half hours nonstop with the LED only. Not a big fan of lasers in general on sidearms, as they can quickly become a crutch, but the extra confidence of one zeroed at 20 yards when you need it alleviates that concern. Once again, after zeroing it at your optimal distance(mine was, possibly from the previous owner, zeroed at 20 yards when I first was going to check for adjustments) the laser is amazingly accurate. I definitely alternate to not become dependent, but the tight patterns I was hitting were better than I expected. Overall pretty light, about a third of a pound for 80 lumens is a nice ratio. Feels very sturdy in construction, 45ACP kicks like a mule compared to 9mm, and no shock damage. Love the paddle/switch design for momentary and steady. Clockwise (down for righties) to lock steady, counter for momentary, neutral for off. Trigger finger naturally rests right on it when in safety position. The switch is below paddle for laser/light/light & laser from left to right. I use my steady hand on that, but it'd be easy enough to reach it with your main hand.

This is starting to get long winded, but I think for a primary sidearm, if you're willing to shell out the cash, it's well worth it. Look for them used first if you can. So far, couldn't be happier with mine.

This weapon light is spectacular! It is solid and well-built, and fits my 1911 perfectly. The battery compartment is sealed with a rubber gasket and the door is very very secure. It comes with multiple parts to change the configuration to fit a variety of rail systems, which is a plus. The unit has a three position switch that can allow you to use the laser alone, the flashlight alone, or both together. It also has a toggle switch that acts as a momentary switch one way and a continuous on switch the other way. The light is extremely bright - brighter than my SureFire G2 Nitron light - and since it is an LED, it should last a long time before needing new batteries. The laser is also very bright as well, even in the daylight. I also have to give kudos to Streamlight's customer service as compared to SureFire's. I had an issue with SureFire on one of their products and tried to e-mail their customer support three times over the past 3 months and have gotten no response. I also contacted Streamlight about an unrelated issue and received extremely prompt and friendly service. I have nothing bad to say about Streamlight's products or service. I have owned a Streamlight Stinger flashlight for almost 10 years now, and I carried it for almost 8 years as a street cop. It works as good as the day I got it and I have only replaced the battery pack once and the lamp once in that time. Excellent products for sure. Don't hesitate to get this light over a single bad review - even the greatest companies have a bad unit every so often.

Being a left handed person and semi-auto rifles are, for the most part, a contradiction in terms. I could not partake all the fun you righty's are having with most of what's available today in rifles and accessories...until the bullpup rifle design came out. Now, I can play...But, still, most of the accessories out their are designed to function best for righy shooting. On to the TLR2 combo laser/light. I just got mine and have discovered that, with the pickatinny side rail for the STG-556, the TLR2 is very well suited for left hand operation. I mounted the TLR2 on the very forward end of the right side mounted Pickatinny rail and it lined up perfectly with my thumb as it is located holding the front handle of the STG-556. All I need do is bring my thumb up and I can operate the toggle switch and the other rotating switch to select momentary or always on light/laser. It is perfect...The only drawback is you probably want to un-mount the unit if stowing the rifle in a soft gun case. I have the VOODOO Tactical 36" case and it's best to do this. The VOODOO case is SWEET. For hard case storage, this may not be an issue.

This is a very nice addition to any hand gun. The only draw back is the battery door is a little hard to open and close. Other then that this is a great product. I am going to get this light/laser sight for all the pistols that have rails.

Industrial (or should I say Military)weapon light. Works good and is easy to use - the only negative is that its hard to work the spring catch for the battery compartment - but that's minor.

This is a pretty decent laser/light combo. Probably the best way to review it is to give a list of pros and cons.

Pros:
-Bright flashlight--this thing puts out a ton of light and is extremely helpful in the dark
-Great attachment options--the light attaches to just about anything with a rail.
-Easy to attach/detach--goes on and off in just a few seconds
-Sturdy--The unit is hefty and should take a beating

Cons:
-Big--Good luck finding a holster to put this thing in. It sticks way past the front of my XD9 Service, which is a large weapon.
-Laser is weak--The laser leaves a lot to be desired. I have a Crimson Trace on my LCR that blows this out of the water. This will only be useful in the dark.
-Batteries--The batteries are expensive, but should last in storage for a long time.

The bottom line is this is a great light for nightstand use and home defense in the dark (as long as the attacker isn't wearing black). I ended up returning mine, and hope to order a crimson trace for my XD one day. I'll take that and a dedicated flashlight over this combo setup.

I originally bought the TLR-1 light for my Glock 37 (45 GAP). After practicing real shooting scenarios in the dark, I realized I could be much more accurate with a red laser dot right in the middle of my circle of light. Bought the TLR-2, and accuracy in the dark was much better. With the laser or combo option, you have the best of all worlds. Also, the laser was VERY easy to zero in, even without having to fire a round, it was right on when live fire verified the zero spot. Excellent quality,and GREAT price !

Great product. Used one before for a long time that belonged to a friend. Is now mounted on a pistol which has gone to the range with me several times. Dependable. Seller was easy to work with and i would recommend them.

Very nice addition to any home/self protection sidearm. The strobe feature is a little useless, no way to keep it on constant, without your finger staying on the switch. But the brightness of the light is very nice. Doesn't throw off the balance of my SR40, and easy to turn on & off. The laser sight is just Ok. It's a 650nm laser which is no where near as bright as the 635nm lasers. I love the quick attachment & detachment feature. It's build is very solid, and seams that it will last a long time. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good rail mounted tac light, & well worth the price tag.

This was my first firearm light and was skeptical at first but after researching it throughly I went for this setup.
It was an excellent choice if I dont say so myself but this my review so take it for what it is worth.
It was either this or Surefire or Insight and of the three this is the most economical for what its worth with the comboe light/laser and what I wanted. I mounted it on my S&W M&P .45 ACP with a 4.5 inch barrel and was worried that it wouldnt fit on my rail but it did perfectly. I love it. It looks good and is not too heavy to weight down the front of the gun. I am a disabled vet in a wheelchair as well and I have a difficult time holding the pistol in the firing posittion for very long my injury prevents me from doing so. So I opted for the laser combo so I can hold at waistlevel and fire downrange pretty accurately. Its a good buy so get one for yourself!!
