5.0 out of 5 stars BTO's BEST KEPT SECRET
This is one of BTO's least known albums. It is one of those albums where each time you play it, it just gets better and better. A description of it would be irrelevant. But naturally, I will pen my thoughts anyway. If you are a BTO fan - these songs are a must! They range from the strong forceful sounds of the earlier albums to a more mellow laid back tempo, at least...

2.0 out of 5 stars It should have been a new era of Heavy Duty R n R
After a few albums of decreasing quality (Head On, Freeways), this should have been worthy of a comeback. After a few albums of decreasing quality (Head On, Freeways), this should have been worthy of a comeback. BTO (Randy wouldn't let them use the full name) added a new member, refreshed their trademark 4/4 sound & made a fun album. The song Street Action snarled like they hadn't since Four Wheel Drive; For Love & You're Gonna Miss Me rocked with a fun & enthusiastic atitude they also lacked for a bit. They threw in a jazzy song as usual with A Long Time For A Little While, but it wasn't the snooze tune that Looking Out For # 1 had been. They tossed two curve balls with Madison Avenue & The world is waiting for A LOve SOng; the first an acoustic based comment on money & greed, the 2nd a lumbering blues that showed that C F Turner had a bulldozer of a voice that showed passion through & through, no pipsqueeking popper is this. Unfortunately, New Wave, Punk, & Disco ruled, and BTO was no longer the attraction it had been in the mid 70s. If you liked the first four, this one shouldn't disappoint.

But naturally, I will pen my thoughts anyway. If you are a BTO fan - these songs are a must! They range from the strong forceful sounds of the earlier albums to a more mellow laid back tempo, at least for BTO. I still have the old LP and consider it one of my best BTO albums; would never part with it. Okay, so I'm an old fart...but I grew up on BTO and this album is BTO in cruise mode. Great highway tunes. Madison Avenue is my favorite followed by Street Action. These are more in line with the BTO hard rock sound. But some of the others, even though more mellow (for BTO, that is), they easily get into your head and won't come out.
Here they all are again so you don't have to flip back. If you can get your hands on the album or download tunes - you won't regret - even if you have only a moderate interest in BTO.

1. I'm in Love
2. Down the Road
3. Takes a Lot of People
4. Long Time for a Little While
5. Street Action
6. For Love
7. Madison Avenue
8. You're Gonna Miss Me
9. World Is Waiting for a Love Song
