Inappropriate Images for kids 9-12,

My 3rd grader checked out this book from the school library. Page 9 depicts street drag racing; which is illegal; page 20 shows what appears to be alcohol which is illegal for underage kids which I believe all of your students are. It is also counterproductive to the school's DARE program, and sends conflicting messages.And page 28 glorifies rappers who are not good role models for our kids. Cool car pictures. Too bad they did not consider their audience. |
