This was released for the 3DO alittle after it went to arcades. For some reason the main consoles never got it. Maybe it was the fact that they had played up SSF2 and this game had very little change. It is a ripoff now that I think about it. I mean this wasnt a real sequal. Nevermind, either way it is one of the best SFs in the series. The addition of the super moves and Akuma.(hidden character)
Now to the review of the port to 3DO. The sound is better then the arcade accually, the graphics are as good as the arcade. But one thing still makes the arcade better. Loading times. 3DO is a 2x CD rom. I.E. slow. Like slower then PS1. So to pick it up today, you'll may be like what the... Still its SF at its best, and one of the best games for 3DO. If you own the system its worth getting. |
