If you are expecting a bad review for SFTMTG prepare to be disappointed, June 19, 2009

This review is from: Street Fighter: The Movie (Video Game)
This game has received quite a beating over the years but I'm here to say this game is pretty good actually. I believe most people that played this game played the arcade version or played it on MAME 32.That's because the arcade version was so broken. The home ports were not so bad it plays like Street Fighter only it used digitized graphics. It's not as bad as the 1st street fighter or the EX series just don't compare it with Street Figter II, III, the Alpha series or SF IV. There's a story mode which follow the events of the cheese fest of a movie & there is arcade mode which you can play as different characters. After you beat the story mode you get to watch the music video something there by Change & Aska. The graphics for it's time are great because of the Saturn's 2D processor & graphics chips not a bad fighting game but jus don't copare it with Street Figter II, III or IV or the Alpha series and you might find a pretty good game.

All your favorite Street Fighters...plus Sawada., February 5, 2008

While this game is based off the infamous Van Damme movie, Street Fighter: The Movie is a pretty good game.
The Graphics are the game's weak point, the real live fighters are not something that should ever happen in a Street Fighter. Even if it should, the digital graphics where slower than Mortal Kombat's, the total opposite of what should have been done.
The Music is catchy and very action oriented. It would have been better if it was the SFII's music, but I still thought music was awesome. The sound on the other hand....while I'm glad Capcom spared gamers from "Tasemenmonkeymadpoo" it's a step back from games like Darkstalkers and Street Fighter Alpha.
The games's Playability and controls are the game's best features. Despite the other things, there is no question that this is a Street Fighter game. All the moves are there, from Guile's double sweep to Ryu's Shinkuu Hadouken. Like in Darkstalkers and Street Fighter III Third Strike, some of the character's special moves can be powered up to do additional damage
Game options like Movie Battle, Survival and a Training mode are great additions made to the game. The best part of the game to me is Sawada. A character that is only playable in the movie games. He's a functional yet humorous character due to his move set.
Overall, SFTM is a user friendly game that is held back by the digitized graphics and bad sound. For any Street Fighter fan, it's a must.

Better than the movie, July 19, 2006

Lets be fair. This is a Capcom fighting game based on a horrible movie, based on an awesome game. This doesn't totally suck, but there are better street fighter games (any). If you are a fighter nut, and love Capcom you still need this game in your collection.
