This game wears off very quickly. After you have seen the limited repertoire of fancy moves, there is little left to show. The game action is slow and methodical. Graphics are about average. The music is okay, but nothing special. I give it a 3 because it can be used to kill lots of time.

this game includes everything you would absolutely need for basketball. street hoops has the best graphics around and you always feel like your right in the game with all of the players.street hoops allows great modes for you to be involved in too. the bottom line is that on street hoops you will always have something exciting to get into.

I bought this game off of bestbuy.com a couple of weeks ago and it is the most awesome basketball video game I've ever played!tons of tight a$$ moves(especially with players like future booger and hot sauce)and the illest-looking tattoos and jewelry I've seen in a while.you got clothing to show off while you slam
from GOAT gear,rocawear,snoop dogg's line, sean paul, southpole,enyce, and others.and it's a good challenge cos' you gotta spend big change to get those tattoos, courts(including rucker, venice beach,11th & lombard,plus jamaican,puerto rican and courts in london.for real,man),players,clothing accessories,
and the and1 mixtapes and much more.lord ada ther court,world tournament,or just pickup,you bet money on your team and if they win in all the categories, you get major bucks to spend on the stuff I mentioned. a great game to buy with an alright soundtrack, though half the tracks are instrumentals.music vids are front 2 back,oohweee,make em say uggh,and lowrider.soundtrack has all those songs except oohweee,rollout by ludacris, who we be by DMX and lots of others.buy this game!out

This is simply an outstanding game and that's all there is to it. You get real street hoops players on real courts. The moves and dunks are mad real. Note to activision: change the soundtrack.

its just the way it should be . No jacked up animations or trails . This game kicks the {ball} out of nba street.

This game is so serious.the graphics are excellent.i dont know how they made a game this good in 18 months.i played the demo in the august xbox magazine.if u ever saw the and 1 mixtapes and wished u could do those moves....now u can.imagin going 1 on 1 up to 5 on 5 doing the hottest,craziest moves ever made. [insulting] people when u break their ankles with the killer crossovers.its a must buy.if u lik basketball or not u must buy this game.its not a simulation game .this game is the most fun game ever.

Okay. Street Hoops does have great features to this game. Things such as movies to unlock, and cheats to enter. Every time you play a game, whether in Lord of the Court or in World Tournament Mode, and even in a Pick-Up game you can earn some money to pay for some great jewelry and tatoos, hairstyles and even brand clothing like And 1 and P. Miller. Sad to say, these things I just mentioned are the best part of the game.

When you are actually in the game, which is why most people play video games, sometimes you can't even tell who has the ball or not because most of the uniforms look the exact same and also, what is up with the camera views? When on defense it is really hard to block a shot and the opposing team makes 90% of the shots they take at least. So you can say the gameplay is about a 1 out of 5. The ONE thing I really hate about games is when they get repetitious and you do the same thing over and over again and thats what this game is like. You may like playing it for the first day or so, but that isn't long enought to keep you interested and you can get distracted easily.

Another poor thing in this game was the graphics. When they dunked the ball, there hands weren't even on the rim. Basically everyone in this game looks the same. Obviously, the makers of this game should have put alot more effort into gameplay and graphics than foolishness.

This is a game I would advise not to waste your money on if you haven't already

A careful look at most of the good reviews will reveal that the reviewers are more impressed with the hype of brand name clothing and court varieties than the actual game play. Obviously, more time was spent on researching courts and players than coding the game.

First of all, team uniforms are so similar that you're not sure if you have the ball or not. (Maybe the makers of the game are color blind). By the time you figure it out, the other team would have scored. The commentary is totally tired and boring compared to other basketball games. I'm not sure what it is but sometimes its extremely difficult to see the ball. The graphics are not particularly impressive either. The views are so awkward that sometimes you only get to see the opposing team's point guard starting the offence. By the time you see any member of your team, the opposing team would have already scored. How do you defend against that?

Something else that I found mindly annoying is the fact that some courts are locked until you win there! So you have to spend all of your precious spare time playing before you get to play on the famous courts. That is just totally wrong. Its ok to lock the venues in tournament mode. But you should be able to play anywhere you like in other modes.

Lastly, the officiating is totally ludicrous. Minor taps are called as fouls and major shoves are ignored.

I really believe more time should have been spent on coding this game as it would have been a really good game since so much time was spent on other stuff that should be just gravy.

This game is neat if you are used to games like NBA Shootout, but if you have played games like Live and Inside Drive you won't like this game. Every thing is really neat except the gameplay. You get to pick bling, tattoos, clothes, shoes, and even hairstyles, but how are you supposed to win when the defense makes every shot they take...
