Bluesy Tones and Mellow Energy,
By A Customer
This review is from: Street Jazz 2 (Audio CD)
I like this compilation because it inspired me. I enjoy lots of music, and this album struck me as a unique blend of hip-hop and jazz. The bluesy attitude almost adds energy to the jazz loops. If you have never heard acid jazz, then I suggest you listen to this. There is creative sampling, Bonita Applebum by Tribe Called Quest has an intro that can be found on The Fugees. Mase grabbed a piece of Musical Sista and created a hit long before he went his own God-fearing way. The drums and bass give you a rhythm you can dig into and will provide a peaceful vibe no matter where you listen to it. It is still cutting edge even today. You will like this if you like jazz and different kinds of music.
