This review is from: Street Lethal: Unarmed Urban Combat (Paperback)
This is not a great book, but it does cover various basic concepts of self-defense. Much of it taken from Jeet Kune Do and other street oriented street combat systems. This text covers the basic blocks, punches, strikes, and kicks. It also shows various self-defense techniques for numerous types of attacks.
In conclusion, this is a fair guide to practical and realistic self-defense responses; however, it is best to seek out an instructor who teaches a reality based system of self-defense to get the most out of this book.
Rating: 3 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Pro-Systems Combatives Vol. 1, 2).

This review is from: Street Lethal: Unarmed Urban Combat (Paperback)
I bought this book looking for something new and effective. This book is basically a watered down version of Bruce Lee's Jeet kune do. Since I already have most of Lees books on fighting, I was disappointed in this book and its content. So I gave it away. For someone with no martial arts back ground they may find the material in this book useful even good. But if you have a background in the martial arts you may find this book lacking.
