Gangsta Boo is one of my favorite female rappers (checc reviews of her other albums) but this album is not hitting. The production on the album is terrible and her signature flow is almost nonexistent. Even her lyrics are wack on this album. One of the freestyles she did was horrendous and I'm wondering how it made the album. Then I started wondering how much time was actually put into the final product. The first three songs are the only good songs: Sippin & Spinnin, Zoned Out, and Scared, The rest are throwaway tracks. Hopefully this is only a bump in the road for Lady Gangsta Boo, cause she has the potential to release great albums. Not recommended. 1.5 stars

A new beginning.,

This mixtape found Gangsta Boo experimenting with her sound. She had left Three 6 Mafia. Rumors were circulating that she went Gospel and quit rap. The mixtape was released around the same time she released Enquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera album. This is a solid mixtape. It's not perfect, but a good effort. Gangsta Boo has released several mixtapes since leaving the group, and she has always released solid ones. This mixtape set the stage for what was to come. I'd recommend her "Still Gangsta" hosted by DJ Smallz and "The Rumors" hosted by DJ Drama mixtapes. They are by far two of the best mixtapes released out of the South, and better representative of where Gangsta Boo is today.
This also marked the first time she teamed up with a then unknown producer by the name of "Drumma Boy." I think he's produced a few tracks since then. :) It's interesting to see the growth in their music from this project. Sippin and Spinnin was a hit for Gangsta Boo down south, and the remix with Bun B has become a staple to Boo's catalogue. Stand-out tracks: Sippin & Spinnin, Zoned Out, Scared, High On That, Gettin High, Momma, Changes (w/ Playa Fly), and the Soap Opera.

Gangsta Boo's hottest release ever!!!,
This review is from: Street Ringers 1 (Audio CD)
She really proves everything that she talks about. probebly one of the realest females in the rap industry. This cd has so many hot tracks, and only two duds. The beats on this cd are better than they have ever been and there are some really good rappers featured on this album, 8-ball, Playa fly, Bun-B, etc. There is also a screwed and chopped version available out there if you can find it and that version is very good if you like that kind of music.
