Rock Hide a Key Serves Purpose,

This product fulfills my expectations. I thought that it had a swivel bottom; it does not...has a plastic box that fits in hollow bottom of rock. My key is heavy and the box has a tendency to fall out, but I put scotch tape across the bottom to secure box and key. All in all, it was worth the money. It is currently hidden in my yard and I dare any would-be-intruder to find it. It looks very natural and completely blends in with my landscape. Happy with purchase.

This product is authentic looking. There are plenty of close-up pictures; and yet one thing wasn't clear to me from the pictures and should have been explained in the write-up. I thought it looked like an authentic rock all the way around. The way its displayed in the picture makes it look like the white cap fits over the hole and is then covered by a replica of the top, but the white top IS the bottom. The only bad thing about this is that if the rock accidentally gets kicked or knocked over, it is exposed to anyone coming by that you are hiding your key.

Its been a year since I used this. Able to store only 1 key of normal size. Realistic look. I've placed this rock together with other real rocks on my front pouch. You cant tell the differrence just by looking. However if you run your finger across or hold it, its a immediate giveaway. So I suggest you pile upon this some real rocks.

I ordered 5 of these rock key holders specifically for Geocaching. I must say that they exceeded my expectations! They were remarkably real looking and each were different. I thought they would be fragile and made of some sort of plaster, but they are extremely resilient and made of a resin polymer. When these are placed, I will be buying more!

Being a single guy I constantly have to find new places to hide my spare key every time I break up with a girl. I saw these on line and have used similar products like this before in the past, so I ordered one.
The Rock arrived quickly and packed expertly in the standard Amazon shipping box. I opened the box, it was exactly as advertised and I excitedly hide my extra key in it and placed it outside my house. That is where the problem is, you see I woke up the morning that the package arrived with a slight hangover, (yea it happens from time to time) so I got up and decided to have a bloody Mary to help ease my head, and it was so good I decided to have another, well I guess I was feeling no pain when the UPS guy arrived and now I can't find the rock with the keys. Great product, bad Idea on my part.

The pictures make it appear as a whole rock when in fact it is a half rock with a flat "UnRocklike" looking bottom. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!

This rock hide a key was ok but not great. When it arrived, the two pieces didn't fit together quite right and the "rock" didn't close completely. My husband had to grind down part of the plastic piece that holds the key so the two pieces would fit together tightly. Now it fits fine, however this should have been checked BEFORE shipping it and fixed or not sent at all. It does look pretty good. Another tip: we wrapped our key in a plastic baggie so it wouldn't rust in case moisture did get in.

The fake rock actually looks pretty good. The hollowed out area is deep enough to store more than one key. I wouldn't count on it being water proof though. Put your key(s) in a small zip lock bag.
All and all I'm pleased. |
