"Imaginary Soundtracks for the Reminding Pictures in Us.",
By D. B. Rocca (Parkland, FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Streets I Ran (Audio CD)
The Streets I Ran ep is a companion volume to the full length (of similar material) Saw You in Reminding Pictures. It is a great taste of what Eyeless in Gaza does best: melding song structure with improvisational sound experiments. "Streets I Ran" and "Twilight Walking" are both lyric-oriented pieces, while the other three combine acoustic quitar, wordless vocals, and other sounds not so easily identifiable; however, all the songs/pieces are very melodic and beautiful. A good choice for those less familiar with their more avant-garde meanderings.
