5.0 out of 5 stars Soulja Slim/No Limit are back
This whole album is bangin. Soulja Slim has been gone for a while but hes back now and hes spittin fire. And the posse cut with Silkk and Master P is off the charts. Cop this album. No Limit are back in this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Come On now
Yo I used to buy every No Limit CD back in tha days, but I don't know what ya'll are talkin about, this Cd did not come through. The first Slim was hella tight, but this was pretty garbage. They lost too many people, and probably the most important was Beats by the pound, now known as medicine men. Face it ya'll NO LIMIT IS DONE, FINISHED. IT'S OVER.

4.0 out of 5 stars From Magnolia To Soulja Slim Was A Power Move, August 13, 2005

Magnolia New Orleans veteran Soulja Slim last album recorded for No Limit and perhaps the last good release from the tank. The Streets Made Me is the second LP for Slim and almost came with a perfect release. He speaks a lot of truth and life experiences as "Get Cha Mind Right" starts the album off with clearing some misconceptions. Also, "Soulja For Life", is reality based as he speaks of police brutality, stereotypes and Black Americans. "Make It Bounce" and "Straight To The Dance Floor" is Nawlins club bouncing type tracks to get you moving. He takes shots at ex-label Cash Money about his struggles on "I'm A Fool". "...Y'all ain't talking about nothing..." quiet competition and have you bucked by "Talk Now" featuring Mia X. "Ya Heard Me" displays his skills over a looped sample as he shift gears with uncut lyrics without a hook or chorus. The two tones "What You Came Fo" sets this album off with even more gangster, game oriented lyrics. The Streets Made Me and the same thing killed the 3rd Ward Magnolia's Soulja Slim R.I.P.

5.0 out of 5 stars - Soulja Slim The Great -, May 29, 2005
This review is from: Streets Made Me (Audio CD)
I love this album! I would recommend this CD to every gangsta, hustler, or real street nigga in every ghetto around the world! This was the #1 realist album that Slim ever made! Every line he spits makes you wanna just sit down & listen to it more and more! His verses are untouchable! Besides, B.G. cause to me, him & B.G. are just alike, nobody else from New Orleans can be compared to him lyrically! Even though Slim is dead and gone, his music will always live on through his real true fans such as myself.

R.I.P. Soulja Slim aka James Tapp

1977-2003

5.0 out of 5 stars slim never fails, November 5, 2003

Following the damn near perfect Give it 2 em raw from 1998, I thought that Slim might have become wack like the rest of No Limit. Fortunately this was not the case. Slim goes back to the streets with "Get your mind right" but is more introspective on songs like "Jacket". Silkk the Sucker sounds horrible compared to Soulja Slim(as a matter of fact so does everybody else except Trennity and Krazy!). Unfortunately C-Murder and Mac are nowhere to be found on this album. Obviosly Mac was on lockdown at the time and C-Murder was busy working on C-P-3.COM.
Soulja Slim is the kind of artist who can make somebody else's album sound tight. He was truly the most underrated rapper on NL. That wack cat P became interested only in his family(Silkk and Romeo) and forgot about hot artists like Slim and Krazy.
I want to talk about P for a minute to show readers what kind of a person he is. Back in 1998, C-Murder found Magic and signed him to Tru-Records(C's own label). Following the commercial success of Mgic's solo "Sky's the limit" P realized he could make money off of Magic and took him from his lil brother C-Murder. He stole from his own brother! Thats part of the reason C left No Limit and part of the reason Slim left. P is a manipulative scheming man who pretends to be a family man whereas in reality he is a money hungry creature. What goes around comes around!

This album is straight fiya. This the the NL album people have been waitin' for, for a while now. The lyrics are great and the production is even better. Some of the best songs are "Get Cha Mind Right", "My Jacket", "Ya Heard Me", "I'm A Fool", "Soulja 4 Life", and "Can't Touch Us" just to name a few.
