the boys from boulder are back at it with their 3rd release and it is worth your money. it is different (more polished) than previous releases. the album is more pop than catchy raps over electronic/dance beats thtat being said it is still a great album.

my top 5 songs are:
1) i can do anything
2) my first kiss w/ ke$ha
3) deja vu
4) touchin on my
5) i know how to say

Honestly, I'm an old 70's rocker with a ear for great music - this cd to me is 3oh!3's "Ill Communication" - it's their break out CD. The question is ... where do they go from here?
I first heard this album via my 15 yr old son, it's been in heavy rotation since! It fit's really well along side of the previously mentioned Beastie Boys CD. The production is polished and this album is somewhat radio friendly .. true!

I've heard some of their earlier stuff, maybe I need to spend more time with it, but I wasn't that impressed. This album however contains great lyrics (excellent writing, surprising rhymes) - "we can do an album or we can do it viral, spread it like an std you got back in high school" - I mean come on ...now that's how you start an album!

"I wake up in the morning with the taste of your tongue" it doesn't even rhyme ... What pops into your mind? ... that's great writing!

Cheers

As a music fanatic, this album is definitely up there for quality. It has good lyrics, follows the pop culture trends, and is overall a good album.
Some of my personal favorites from the album are:
My First Kiss,
Déjà Vu,
R.I.P.,
and I Can Do Anything.
All of these songs have a good rhythm and are catchy.

3OH!3 "Streets of Gold (Limited Edition CD/DVD)" 2010

1. Beaumont (1 star [there is no singer, LOL])
2. I Can Do Anything (3 stars)
3. My First Kiss (5 stars)
4. Deja Vu (5 stars)
5. We Are Young (4 stars)
6. Touchin' On My (2 stars [it wasn't at all good in my opinion])
7. House Party (3 [the lead singer was singing weird and it had a weird beat to it])
8. R.I.P. (4 stars [it would be 5 stars if it wasn't a tad bit dramatic])
9. I Know How to Say (3 stars)
10. Double Vision (5 stars [I love it when it's on the radio])
11. I'm Not the One (4 stars)
12. Streets of Gold (3 [since the chorus was almost repeated, I found it a bit boring])
13. See You Go (4 stars)
14. Love 2012 (3 stars [the song was just boring to death, there was no spark])

My favorite songs were: My First Kiss, Deja Vu, Double Vision, and R.I.P. even though it wasn't 5 stars. I dreaded the way it wasn't as good as their album, "Want". I even downloaded it before I bought it, and I thought 'Wow, this isn't as good as their album, "Want" so I don't think I want to buy their new album.' and so I didn't and I'm letting you guys know, if you agree with me, thank you and try to understand that every music band or singer has a song that isn't as popular as it should be. Trust me, this happens!

3OH!3 succeed at one thing - being incredibly stupid. Streets Of Gold [Explicit] is easily the stupidest album of 2010 by all means - well maybe save for Ke$ha's Animal. Some of it is so stupid that it is enjoyable while the rest suffers from sagging moments and "same-y" material. Face it, you can only be so stupid before it grows annoying, and that is the main issue I have with 'Streets of Gold.' It's cool for a while and then it just wears off just like that.

"Beaumont" is an instrumental cut that opens the album, but after listening to 'Streets of Gold' several times, I couldn't tell you what purpose it serves; it brings nothing noteworthy to the album. "I Can Do Anything" is the first vocal cut and despite its consummate stupidity, Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte manage to get in some great lines: "we can do an album or we could do it viral/spread it like an STD you got back in high school" from verse 1 or "I could write bad checks, I could smoke cigarettes/I could be valedictorian having no sex." Take your pick, though you have to go no further than the childish refrain: "I ain't gonna take no s--- from no one, I ain't gonna take no lip from no one..." - way to go college graduates that you are 3OH!3. "My First Kiss" is outrageous as well, and the added member of Ke$ha just heightens the absurdness to the next level. But face it people, we all love the stupidity of "my first kiss went a little like this... and twist... and twist..."

"Déjà Vu," apparently the most common title for a song in recent times (Beyoncé, Mike Posner, etc.) features the ubiquitous Dr.

One of the few bands that I will actually buy a CD from... there first CD was better. Still there are 3 or 4 sounds I like such as Touchin on My and First Kiss.

This cd isn't much like "Want" at all. I do miss the songs like "PhotoFinnish" and ChokeChain" but I do not think this cd disappoints at all. It's catchy, lyrically fun, and more pop than their previous work but I enjoy hearing 3OH!3 evolve as a group. Some may say that this cd is a sell out cd because they have gained so much popularity. I agree that "Streets of Gold" probably is but I am no less fond of it because I am absolutely in love with it!
