4.0 out of 5 stars Beware of the sewers, I mean streets, of shadow.
Good solid tiles like the other sets but really seems to be lacking the streets the set name mentions. The streets almost seem like a transition into the sewers which is the only example dungeon given with the packaging. For the original price of $9.99, this was a good product. Due to Wizards of the Coast's inexplicable decision to make these tile sets in limited batches (but yet continue to reference them in their current published works), these sets are the subject of greedy retailers jacking up the price beyond any reasonable amount.

Don't buy for these outrageous prices. One could just reproduce these tiles one self (or similar tiles) with a small amount of craft work.

Unless these are reprinted or brought down to reasonable prices, it's a huge ripoff.

However, there are plenty of nice horse-drawn carts, some vendor stands, a town square fountain and three or four rooftops and two crowd tiles. These tiles are worth the money but to really be useful for more than just one dead end alley you would need to buy multiple sets. Would really like to see some interior tavern and inn tiles with a dedicated urban setting. This should have been broken down into two separates releases, one being city and the other sewer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lacking in streets, January 3, 2009

This is the most disappointing set of all of the tile sets I have purchased up to now. It could be great if you are doing a sewer dungeon, but as its called 'Streets of Shadow', I was hoping for some more streets. There are a few rooftop views and large courtyard/marketplace tiles, but that is about all you really get out of this set. It only gives you one sample dungeon (which is a sewer layout) as the front cover is lacking 3/4 of its paper (the tiles shown in the image are actual tiles, not a print like other tile sets have). The fire and ice(?) tiles shown are completely out of place as well, don't see much use for them in here anywhere, maybe should have been put with arcane corridors instead.

The few city tiles included are nice, and the quality is as good as the older sets, it's just that its missing the advertised streets. I am happy with this product as is, I will definitely make use of most of these tiles, its just that I was looking for town tiles and I got sewer ones instead. "Sewers of Shadow" would be a much more accurate name.

It is not that bad of a tile set, but it is not one of the better ones either. Mainly because it lacks streets, you can get like a market place going, also some people, horse & wagon, some Misc. things etc. Also a nice sewer if you want to spend some time down there, but this set lacks the main thing I was personally looking for. which is for it to be as this sets name implies, Streets, Streets, Streets. Hopefully another set like this comes out, that makes up for streets and maybe some alleys would be nice. Maybe behind some taverns or buildings kind of thing. O yea you do get a few roof top tiles as well.

Streets of Shadow: DU2 - Dungeon Tiles (D&D Accessory) This is a nifty little addition to my D&D collection. I prefer using tiles, and this set adds some nice tile pieces, like the building rooftops, sewer sections, horse-&-carts, and a mob-o-people. Nothing uber-spectacular, but definately worth the price.

1.0 out of 5 stars STOP GOUGING!!!!, June 13, 2010
This review is from: Streets of Shadow: DU2 - Dungeon Tiles (D&D Accessory) (Board book)
This is nothing short of gouging. The original price was 9.99. I don't care how out of stock this is. I can't afford to spend $35-$40 on a few sheets of cardboard, but I would love to play the game with them. Do you realize how many sales you could have if you sold this at a reasonable (less inflated price)!? Not worth more than $15. Final offer!

Also a note to Amazon: All of your sellers for Dungeon Tiles (In general; not just this one) are gouging. And it is appearing that you are explicitly encouraging this by not seeking out competitive vendors. I have found many sites offering dungeon tiles for less than half your sellers' prices elsewhere and will not buy from Amazon when they allow this practice to occur. Please search out competitive sellers.

4.0 out of 5 stars more streets please, March 4, 2009

Another solid set of tiles from WotC. However, be aware that on the flip side of street tiles are actually sewer tiles, not street tiles. Also, several are rooftop of buildings. Cool if you are running a battle on the rooftop. So overall, I think we need more street variations, including some "narrow" alleys.

This is a set of the popular Dungeon Tiles which I was waiting for and it delivers well! Between the city streets, rooftops, crowds of people, and horse-buggy tiles, and then turning them all over for sewer tiles printed on the opposite side, all the tools I wanted for city-street and back-alley setups are now possible. This is a very nicely done product and worth every cent. I own 4 sets so far, and may purchase one or two more.

Finally! They release a set of dungeon tiles based in an urban type setting. This set has been needed since the beginning and they almost hit it perfect. The only issue I have with the tiles is that Ill have to end up buying another set in order to get full use out of the rooftops section and this isn't a real complaint as they did the best they could with the space given. Now where's the desert and the cold environment sets.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wish There Were More Streets, April 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Streets of Shadow: DU2 - Dungeon Tiles (D&D Accessory) (Board book)
This is a very good and useful tile set. However, there are not very many varieties of streets. There are a few marketplace tiles and crowd tiles and such, but nothing that isn't included in the Master Set. There are, however, ROOFTOPS! I was very pleased with this. Overall, it's a good set to have, but expect some repeats from the Master Set (obviously).
