I found this map quite useful during a recent trip to Chicago. Lots of good information, things you expect and extras like names of various hotels and restaurants. It is compact, durable and fit well in my small daypack. The overall compact size didn't compromise the labels of streets and places; I found the enlarged area inserts particularly helpful. This map kept me going in the right direction.

This helped in our trip to Chicago. We took a taxi to the Sears tower and walked back. This map guided us back across town.

Great map of the city and the area. Easy to read and small enough to carry while traveling.

I initially purchased this prior to moving to Chicago in the hopes that I could keep it on my fridge as I checked out different neighborhoods. I really wanted something that showed me, in detail, the different train schedules and lines.

It didn't work for that purpose (obviously it wasn't intended to go on a fridge, which is why it folds up and is laminated), but it has been incredibly handy map. My husband keeps it in his work bag all the time and references it often when he's walking to work or trying to find different streets. (He travels outside our usual areas much more frequently than I do.)

In all, I'd say it was a handy little purchase.

This is a convenient map for visitors. The laminated feature makes it durable. We used it many times as a referece to public transportation.

I like this map, but I thought "CTA" would include bus routes. We never drive to Chicago, and depend on city buses to get around. For a general map, with points of interest, and commuter rail, this is a nice map. I'll just have to pick up a free bus map when we go again.

Not a good map for tourists to the area, the loop, river north and river south areas. The space provided for these areas leaves a lot to be desired and you need a magnifier. A free map offered by the Chicago Architectural Fundation is detailed for tourist. You can also obtain a free Chicago tourist brochure and comes with a free map inserted at the Chicago Cultura Center for free also.
