I got this along with the Manhattan map from Streetwise. The bus map side is included on their regular Manhattan map but the stand alone subway map is not so this was very convenient because of its size. I prefer to not stare at the maps on the wall in the subway cars (hey look everybody I'm a tourist) nor do i want to broadcast I have an iPhone either trying to look for directions. The lamination takes a real beating, i could probably use this a thousand times without it ripping. Highly recommended along with their Manhattan map for more coverage. Always been satisfied with Streetwise.

This is perfect to stick in your pocket and have handy as you are making your way around the city and planning your days. I used it alot, would buy it again.

I visited NYC this past fall, and am planning another trip in April. I had a terrible time trying to get subway information to load on my smart phone while in NY (I swear they must have cell phone jammers near the Statue of Liberty), so I thought I'd go ahead and get this map. I love the size. It is small enough that it will fit in a pocket. It is also very discreet, so I won't be walking around with a 2' x 2' map screaming "I'm a tourist!" I hate having to use the big map on the subway wall and trying to read the maps in the subway cars while sitting 8 feet away from them. I think this map will be a huge asset and I cannot wait to use it.

This little guide got us around easily on our first trip to NY. It's laid out much clearer and easier than the maps you can get off the MTA site and got us as close to our destinations as possible. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter and I used the laminated bus and subway map of NYC on a daily basis during our 4-day visit. Instead of taking a tour bus, we decided to navigate the city on our own. We felt safe (officers are well placed on nearly every street) and were were confident as we only traveled subway during the day and walked in areas near our hotel(Times Square) at night. The maps bright colors were easily seen at night in the well-lighted streets.

The subway side was best used to direct us to transfer stops. We often jumped from subway to bus because we could plan out our destination prior to leaving the hotel each day. The paper maps of the city failed us in the rain but this map survived. The fonts are small and my daughters sharp eyes worked better than mine to locate things quickly.

We felt confident with this map in conjunction with the City Park map. We walked the entire park - also in the rain.

What a great little map. I used it for my two days on the Manhattan subway and couldnt have been more satisfied. The plastic coating on the paper made it strong. I must have folded and unfolded it 50 different times with no tearing. It folds down to slightly larger than the size of a business card. Water resistant and accurate as it says it was updated for 2011. Highly recommended for less than $2. I used it in tandem with their full size manhattan map.....

The product was exactly what I ordered, however, I was sent 3 of them, and I only need one. Amazon has done this to me before. So my advice, be sure to doublecheck the total amount of each item.

We expected a more detailed version of the transit [subway and bus] maps included in Streetwise Manhattan. It is an exact duplicate. It is alright to have it separate, I suppose, (...)!!!

I live in NYC and use this map often. My wife is a bit "directionally challenged" but she loves this map because she can read it easily and it helps her navigate as well.

Very handy; a seatmate on the plane to NYC said he wished he had one of those....he visits NYC frequently for business.
I had to wait a bit for it but it arrived in time for our trip.
