I like the Street-wise maps, they are sturdy, fold EASILY, and aren't difficult to read (meaning, text isn't too small). My only reason to hold back a star is because the map just barely covers Phoenix and the suburbs, I would have liked a few more miles around the perimeter. Some of the eastern neighborhoods between Scottsdale and Mesa and cropped off. Other than that, the detail within the city area is well done.

This map is essential if you don't have a GPS in the rental car or don't own one. We visit Phoenix for the first time and it definitely helped us out.

I didn't realize that this is a map of only the major streets and attractions in Phoenix. It's just kind of a laminated version of a AAA map for Arizona for the Pheonix area (although AAA also has city maps that would provide all the streets in the city). I guess it's good if you're just going there to play tourist for a while, but for anything else, it's not useful.

this map was not for me. I didn't like the way how half the city is on one side and the other half is on the other. It really is confusing. You could probably get a better map by printing one out online for free.

Nice map, but the print is way too small to be usable for me. You need a magnifying glass to see street names. I thought this map was a fold out one but it is only 8.5" tall that accordians out. There are better ones available. I am a firm believer that in getting to know a new city one should have a laminated map that can be easily carried. Even though I have a good GPS, I find that having a large pictoral snapshot is very helpful.
