Before heading into Seattle as an intern this summer, I bought a few foldable maps - each with different strengths and weaknesses. By the end of the summer, the only map living in the front seat of my MINI Cooper was this one. I love it because the streets are clearly labeled. I love it because it shows some of the surrounding neighborhoods, not just the main downtown area. And most of all, I love it because it shows the on and offramps for the freeway. How many times have you hit a bizarre interchange and not known what lane to be in, or been stuck in a maze of one-way streets? This map is absolutely the clearest at indicating directionality of streets, and that's a good thing because Seattle is a pretty messy city to get around in by car.

Combine this map with one of the bound King/Pierce/Snohomish County "map books" that are sold at most big box stores in the metro area with detailed grid maps of the entire area, and you'll never get lost. Highly recommended!

I am a fan of the Streetwise map series, but this is a lackluster installment.
The map covers downtown Seattle well, but the detail stops at Broadway. The backside of the map provides only main arteries and a topographic overview of the extended Seattle area.
Unlike the San Francisco Streetwise map (which is excellent), the Seattle map does not include bus routes.
There are better (and cheaper) maps of downtown Seattle available.
Still, if you're only planning on visiting the downtown this map is useful and the lamination is nice for plotting routes with a dry-erase marker.

I used this all the time while I was in Seattle. It is so easy to read and really helps you get around. Also, small enough so you don't bring too much attention to yourself when trying not to look like a tourist who has no idea where they are going!

I recently purchased this map for my vacation to Seattle. This was the best map ever!!! It's nicely laminated and thin, so I was able to just throw it in my purse and not worry about it getting ruined. The map is clearly labeled, and even lets you know which streets are one way, and where the freeway exits are. We used this bad boy the entire trip, and highly recommend it for anyone that will be travelling to Seattle in need of a clear, easy to read map. I will be purchasing Streetwise maps from now on!!

I'm a fan of Streetwise maps and have never been disappointed! I purchased an earlier version of the Seattle Streetwise map back in 2006 before the light rail came on board. I purchased this one because it was updated with all of the transit. Never failed me! If you are going anywhere never forget your Streetwise!

Used this map on our recent trip to Seattle. Sturdy, folded nicely to fit inside my purse, had enough detail to get around very nicely, showed the one way streets. I would definitely recommend it.

This is an excellent carry around map. I must admit, I found myself using printouts from Google more often than this map. The map is designed for walking, unlike Rand McNally maps that favor drivers. It is clear where the Convention Center, Seattle Center and all other attractions are located. This is as useful as any Citywide street map I have found.

We ordered this map before a week's vacation in Seattle. We carried it with us during the whole trip and found it exceedingl useful! It was waterproof and light enough to carry everywhere! We always knew where we were!

I have been a fan of the "Streetwise" calendars for years -- a folding laminated city map that always folds nicely, stays firm and fits easily in pockets, purses, etc.

On the reverse side, it also has a wider regional map, which is helpful to put your travels into context, especially if you use the map alongside tour books that often point out destinations outside the downtown region.

The Streetwise map of Seattle is a very good map if you want something that's durable and will fit in your pocket. Because it's laminated, you can write on it with overhead transparency markers. If you are looking for a detailed map of areas just outside of Seattle, this map isn't the best for that.
