5.0 out of 5 stars Yet another GREAT album
Freeway never drops a weak album and he carries on the hit wave with this album. It's underground just like his last effort but Freeway never lets you down he can make any beat his playground and I reccomend this cd to all Free fans and be on the lookout for a big major lable release b/c Beanie is about to join G-Unit and I wouldnt be supprised if Free follows suit.

3.0 out of 5 stars "MOVING COMFORTABLE"
Who is Freeway's promoter? Whoever they are they need to be fired. How is it that another Freeway album slips past with nothing more than a whisper. His last album "Philadelphia Freeway 2", came with some internet buzz but no radio play or singles. But it did manage to crack the Billboard Top 100.Now Free is back with "Streetz Iz Mine" which came out back in November. How...

5.0 out of 5 stars Old School New York rap feel, September 19, 2011

Freeway did a pretty good job with this project and it has that old school New York rapper feel to it. He is actually telling stories like the rapper's did back in the day instead of the ad-libbing rappers of today. Don't get me wrong, the new rapper's have great songs and are only doing what is popular for their time, but I still like to hear a rapper with something to say besides a metaphor. If you love New York rap or old school style rap then purchase this album. I don't believe you will be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars "MOVING COMFORTABLE", March 16, 2010

Who is Freeway's promoter? Whoever they are they need to be fired. How is it that another Freeway album slips past with nothing more than a whisper. His last album "Philadelphia Freeway 2", came with some internet buzz but no radio play or singles. But it did manage to crack the Billboard Top 100.Now Free is back with "Streetz Iz Mine" which came out back in November. How are Freeway fans supposed to keep up with him if no one knows he's out.

Let me start off by saying that this album is not a "Best of" or compilation CD. This is all new material from Free. Which left me more confused when deciding to buy this album. "Streetz Iz Mine" starts off where "Philadelphia Freeway 2" left off. Rap Money", stand outs to me because its produced by 9th Wonder. One thing I noticed throughout the album is the steadily improving skill level of Young Chris, formerly of the duo Young Gunz. He reminds me of Juelz Santana. On the song "Last 2", Young Chris and Free trade verses that flow like water. Its almost ruined by Beanie Sigel showing up at the end.

Freeway continues on. This is a small pit stop on his climb to the road of mainstream. He probably will never get there but he can be a respectable rapper with a loyal fan base. There's one more independent album set to drop by Freeway before he starts work on his Cash Money album. Hopefully, we will not find it 3 months after it dropped.

4.0 out of 5 stars 4th solo is another strong effort - 4.5 stars, December 16, 2009
By
This review is from: Streetz Is Mine (Audio CD)
Freeway returns with his 4th solo album, just 6 months since his last one. This one is another very good 4.5 star album ("Philadelphia Freeway" 2003, I'd also give 4.5 stars, "Philadelphia Freeway 2", 2009, I'd give 5 stars, and his "Free At Last", 2007, I'd give 4 stars). He has also been a part of at least 4 State Property albums from 2001-2007 and an Ice City group album (2004, 4 stars), not to mention a few mixtapes the last few years. This one has 13 songs on it, 2 are almost classics, 2 are ok, the other 9 are good, and a few of those being real good. No skippable tracks on here. Guests rap on 4 of the songs and do a hook on another. Production is nice as well, and handled by: Blunt, Phoe Notes, 9th Wonder, & Dictata. Like always, Free delivers some nice, one of a kind flows and lyrics and has some personal and some upbeat party tracks, and as always, some gritty street songs. A nice album for his fans or fans of State Prop to get for their collection.

#1 - 9.5 (tight beat)
#2 - 8.5
#3 - 9 (nice beat)
#4 - 7 (f/ Tom Hardy (who has 2 avg. verses & does the hook) & Young Chris)
#5 - 8 (f/ Ice City {Hydro, Bars, & Face Money})
#6 - 9.5 (tight beat)
#7 - 9 (nice relaxing beat)
#8 - 8
#9 - 8 (f/ Indy 500)
#10 - 7.5 (f/ ??)
#11 - 9 (f/ Young Chris & Beanie Sigel -- nice beat)
#12 - 8.5
#13 - 8
