heavy post-goth bluesy metal rockers,
By Charlie Quaker "The Quaker Goes Deaf" (Normal, IL.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strega (Audio CD)
2nd album from all girl band described as "...somewhere between Nebula & L7" and "PJ Harvey +Kyuss + Robert Johnson + Coven". In any case, they play a dark, post-Goth bluesy metal with walls of roaring guitar distortion that occasionally ventures into mid-tempo, apocalyptic folk/rock ballads punctuated by some post-psychedelic electric violin. All this is led by gloom `n' doom Grace Slick-infected vocals. 2008 release from this bunch of female evildoers out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Sometimes recalls Jex Thoth, Sleepy Sun, Jefferson Airplane, Witch.
