Easier handling, less wind knots, easier to cut than other comparable sized braids. Casts exceptionally well, has good visibility above water and is my favorite for casting small jigs to crappie and bluegill.

An excellent synthetic line, but not very forgiving of twists in the 20lb. class.
Typically, this line is used with a ball bearing snap swivel at the tag end, then attached to a florocarbon leader, the non-lure end itself attached to a swivel that is then attached to the snap. In effect, two swivels are used. This cuts down on line twists, allowing the lure or bait to swim and/or spin without transferring its motion to the main line, and allows for fighting fish without the enivitable twists of a prolonged battle( ball bearing swivels are used for ease of motion and strenth, more costly but worth it ). Finally, the blue glow of the line and sensitivity make the above procedures well worth the time and effort of attaching the extra terminal tackle and the 24" - 36" florocarbon leader. It is common for this setup to outfish others using mono or even a different synthetic on a day to day basis. |
