Not only did I love reading this book, but my in-laws, who survived Nazi occupied Holland during WW II, could hardly believe Ms. Pinkston's didn't live through it, too, since her facts were right on. My mother-in-law also said, "Miracles did happen during that time."

I love the combination of facts and the feelings of the characters in this dramatic World War II-era depiction.

You'll need a case of Kleenex to get through this book. I couldn't put the book down till I'd finished it from beginning to end. Its a great story and so heart-warming and filled with so much human emotion. This is the second book of Tristi's I've read, and she's got an amazing talent for writing stories based on facts. Not only do I enjoy the story, but find I learn alot about past history that I'd never known before. I just can't say enough about this book. Pick up a copy --- its worth every dime!
