On this album John P. Kee and the New Life Community Choir really come out strong! This is modern gospel at its best. Both young and old will surely enjoy this production. With songs like "Come in the house" and "I do worship" excellent worship songs are delivered to the church. The title song "Strenght" together with "Eastside/Westside" and "Lord help me to hold out" offer some splendid fusion between gospel and urban. Also soul and blues are flawlessly integrated, creating a real funky sound. The horn arrangements are very exciting and the way the music flows from one style to another is done very naturally. One minor remark is the mixing with the choir on "Strenght" being to much on the background, and a somewhat abrupt ending on "I do worship" and "Turn around". I surely wouldn't mind to hear John P. Kee speaking more as he ministers. This album is a "must hear" for anyone who wants to know where gospel music is heading for

AS YOU CAN SEE THAT I AM A JOHN P KEE FAN. I LOVE HIS MUSIC. THIS CD IS JUST AWESOME. I LOVE EVERY SONG EXPECT "EASTSIDE/WESTSIDE" FOR SOME REASON I JUST CANT GET INTO THAT SONG. THE REST OF THE SONG ARE A BLESSING. "GOING HOME AND THURSDAY LOVE" ARE THE BEST SONG ON THE CD. THIS CD WILL BLESS YOUR SOUL. THE MUSIC WILL TAKE YOU INTO A PRAISE AND WORSHIP PRESENCE. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because I know that it has given me the strength to praise our almighty GOD. Every song on the track is enjoyable. From soulful, sweet melodies, to pure praise and glory!! This Cd has it ALL! My favorite Tracks are "I Do Worship" (a very lovely song)& "We Made It" w/ Daryl Coley... Daryl Coley?, what a blessing and honor to have him a part of this CD! I was truly thrilled to hear this man's vocals on here! He's by far the most talented, versatile gospel artist out today! In Closing, If you enjoy Kirk Franklin's music, you'll LOVE John K. Pee's. You'll be soooo glad you bought this CD. Nothing besides the LORD has ever given me the STENGTH to praise him more than John P. Kee's "Strength" CD... Trust me, if you love Gospel you'll absolutely positively enjoy this CD!!

John P. Kee and The New Life Community Choir have scored with this collection of worship and praise. Starting with the uplifting "Come In" the group sets the stage for a listening experience of monumental proportions. The title cut is featured next and it is a superb example of urban contemporary gospel with its danceable bass and percussion. "I Do Worship" is beautiful and reflective, while "Turn Around" is a hand-clapping gospel gem. "We Made It" sounds like a testimony sincerely delivered from "The Amen Corner."

The traditional "Lord, Help Me to Hold Out" is given new life by its extended ending, depending heavily on the band's backing mixed with a strong choral accompaniment. "Thursday Love" is "right on time" with lyrics and music.

The piece de resistance however, is number eight on the disc: "Thank You Lord (He Did It All)." This tune has a New Orleans flair with its jazzy trombone solo and Kee's vocalizations have never been stronger.

"I'll Be Your Everything" is softly and powerfully presented. "Mighty God" elevates one to heavenly bliss. "Going Home," likes its title, makes the listener appreciate the Lord's works on our behalf. "Clap Your Hands" makes one do just that! And finally, "I Bow Out" is the perfect conclusion to this fine recording.

For those who enjoy "tickling the ivories," there is also available an accompaniment piano book that can be purchased separately.

By the way, I purposely eliminated commenting on cut number 13.

THERE ARE NO WORDS THAT DISCRIBES JOHN AND NEW LIFE. THEY HAVE BEEN A BLESSING OVER THE YEARS WITH THERE RECORDINGS AND THIS IS NO DIFFRENT. THERE IS EVERYTHING IN THE CD FROM TRADITION, CONTEMPORY, HIP HOP,PRAIS AND WORSHIP AND JOHN'S OWN TWIST TO IT.

EVERYONE OF THESE SONGS IS UPLIFTING! FEELING A LITTLE DOWN? PLAY THIS CD! I PLAYED IT SOOO MUCH, THIS IS MY SECOND ONE. I DIDN'T HAVE TO LOOK TO LONG FOR THIS CD EITHER, AMAZON HAD IT WHEN MY TOWN DIDN'T. THANKS AMAZON!

I play Strength during my 90 minute sometimes two hours drive to and fro work. I'm praising and worshipping and "havin Church" in my car all by myself! No matter what I'm going thru and trust me, I am going thru some stuff, I am always encouraged by a John P Kee and his New Life Community Choir. I was listening to it on Pandora Radio, loved it and purchased it via Amazon.com. My CD came within two days. I ordered several more CDs this way. It's much better than shopping in the store! Amazon even has so called- Not in circulation CDs.

I was very glad to see that I could purchase this CD and was even more happy when I got it! I love "I Do Worship", JPK!

You will not be disappointed with this CD. Great praise and worship songs to provide the STRENGTH you need especially in trying times. Pastor Kee is an anointed musician, singer and composer. Although I love this entire CD, my favorite songs are..."Come In", "I Bow Out", and "I do Worship"! I adore anointed worship songs and this CD will definitely usher you into the presence of the LORD! Buy it! I purchased it for a friend, b/c I already have a copy! You do what you can to be a blessing to others. Again you will not be disappointed!

I am a huge fan of the Gospel recording artist John P. Kee & the New Life Community Choir. I owned this particular CD at one time and loved it, however the one I purchased on Amazon was in extremely poor condition. The cover was so dirty and nasty it had dried food on it as though a baby had played with it with a cookie in it's hand, tracks 11, 12,& 13 do not even play because it's scratched like crazy. I've always ordered items from Amazon and never ever experienced a problem such as this before. I deperately needed the CD for choir purposes so I cleaned it off and kept it. Next time I'll play the whole thing through before I throw away the senders info. Shame on you who ever you were
